My "barn find" 1974 Factory Soft Top FJ40. I searched for it for over a year. Ended up selling it because we bought this house and the city wouldn't let us put a carport in. I didn't want it to rust apart on my watch. Sold it to a doctor in San Antonio which was perfect because he had the money to put into it and liked to work on it with his son.

When we bought her and were bringing her home:

my 2011 Lancer Evolution GSR. The thing was simply a tank and the only time I ever got stuck was going up an insanely steep hill with about 12in of fresh snow at the top of the hill (i had about 4in ground clearance if that on that car lol).

I still give my mom crap for selling the 70 series 1 (aka 69.5) 240z. White, 4 speed, she restored it completely back to factory spec, I still have the registration for it, would love to find it one day... although the value on those have skyrocketed!
The reason she sold it was because my sperm donor (aka her ex husband) couldn’t drive it.... that’s right! It didn’t fit “the level of prestige he wanted” so he bought the most god ugly brown with tan soft top 911 carerra..... back when the NSX came out, my mom test drove it, and that didn’t have the “prestige” according to my father that a basic bitch 911 had....
All I can say is THANK GOD I HAVE MY MOMS TASTE IN CARS

Oh, if we're doing motorcycles... I SO miss my R65. First new motorcycle I ever bought.

This was a camping trip in the summer of 99; stopped to pay our respects to Uncle Sam (Wilson) in Troy, NY.

Oh man does that one bring back some memories!
My Dad has a 62 R50 that I drove all through College but had to leave there when I was done and moved on.
What a great time driving around New England on that one freezing my ass off routinely as I would forget a jacket in the Fall and Spring!

I had a 90 VW Jetta - 2door (rare car) with a GTI front end conversion, lowered, exhaust, etc.etc. It wasn't the fastest car but loved to be revved to high RPM and screamed. And handled like it was on rails. Unfortunately wrecked it in bad rain storm, had some bad tires on it and hydroplane off the highway.

Also had 92 Nissan 240sx coupe. My friend, brother, and I did a SR20DET engine swap into it. Very fun and fast car! Sold it when I got married.

I owned lots of other cars that I loved but those two stick out bc they are more special to me.

I should have kept my previous cars and just collected them. 1984 Z28 red. 1987 Jeep larado with hard & soft tops. 75 beatle 1991 Honda Accord special edition. 1994 Chrysler lebaron convertible. 1998 Jeep grand Cherokee. 2011 Prius. 2015 Toyota Tundra crewmax tss 2 wheel drive. I have had many I wish I still hadn’t traded in to get the next vehicle I think I will start being a collector now. My 16 Toyota Tundra, 15 sienna, 19 Camry hybrid, 19 Prius and 11 Prius. I have 4 kids 3 are of driving age. Nobody gets my Tundra. I’m finally getting ready for the next vehicle and I don’t want to trade in I want to add another vehicle in the mix. Maybe 2022 tundra? Or wait 1 more year for 2023 model after all of the next generation bugs are worked out

1979 F100 custom 2wd. Thing ate oil and had other issues but I wish I had kept it and spent time to wrench on it. I was in college and didn’t have the place to work on it at the time. Parts are so plentiful for that era of Ford I could have rebuilt it easily. No complicated electronics to mess with.

Nothing as cool (or now as valuable) compared to some of ya'll here, but I'd still have my 2005 Wrangler to this day if I wasn't stupid. Learned a hard lesson about chasing mpg's to save money with that one when gas started threatening $5 a gallon and we traded it for a Civic. Dumb, dumb, damn was that dumb! :annoyed::frusty:

Really liked the 2000 Dakota ext. cab, it was maybe the most comfortable fit for me of any car we've had, and with the 4.7 V8 and 3.92 rear end it was a lot of fun. But after 10 years it was starting to have problems creep up on it. Same with the 2004 Grand Cherokee.

The wife's '13 G37 vert is likely to be our first that stays beyond 10 years, with our '14 4Runner right behind it!

Pops had a '79 f150 Single cab LWB.

I loved that primered, green, rusty monstrosity. I remember being in the passengers seat at 10 years old, pops driving. I've got my whole ass arm out the window trying to grab weeds at 35mph down a country road.

Pops said "I wouldn't d..." Just then a weed hit the inside of my forearm. The soft part, y'know? I let out a wail that went so high it was silent. He chuckled and said...
    Screenshot_20210316-002520_Chrome.jpg

Fast forward two years. I'm 12. Mom, and pop had both lost their jobs, and needed cash to pay bills. They had 3 hungry boys to feed after all. He ended up selling the truck for scrap metal...
