Really the only two I miss are my dad's '70 Chrysler Imperial Lebaron 4 door - he traded it in while I was away at college for a 78 Impala. He got all of $100 for it... Man, I miss that car. 440 4 barrel, leather interior with front bench bucket seats, AM/FM/8-track (hey, it was a 1970!), power everything... I swear you could launch and recover Huey's from the roof, the car was that big.

And what I REALLY miss is my 1973 Mazda RX-2. Third year of the rotary engine, it had two rotors, two sets of sparkplugs, two distributors, THREE sets of points... and produced 110BHP in a 1800 lb car. Lit up the tires in the first three gears. It was white, with red primer... and grey primer... and silver primer. People would look at it and go "What a piece of junk!" I'd just smile, because it would make .5 past light speed. I called it, yes, the Millennium Falcon. I never did find the top end on that car. It was somewhere well north of 120; I ran out of room and nerve on the New Jersey Turnpike trying to find its top speed.

Foreign car parts stores and junkyards used to love seeing me walk in; they knew that they were about to unload parts that had either been sitting in stockrooms for 8 years or parts from a wrecked RX2 that no one else would want; I knew every foreign car parts store and junkyard with a wrecked RX2 for 25 miles around. I was under it every couple of weeks fixing something or another; wore out a copy of the Haynes manual on that car. But it was SOOO much fun to drive - fast, maneuverable and a total sleeper. I embarrassed new Camaros and Mustangs with it. Damn, I miss that car.

I don't know if anyone else ever remembered these commercials, but just because I loved that car so...

There aren't really any cars that I wish I hadn't sold. With that said, there's only one vehicle that I really 'miss' - our 2000 4Runner.

I bought it in 2011 with 72K miles on it (you read that right) for about $7200. It was almost literally showroom condition. It was in SUCH good condition that the local dealership told me that Toyota wanted to tear it down to see why/how it was in such good shape; and it'd be free of charge to me, plus they'd fix any issues with it.

I did some upgrades to it (fixed the rear trailer wiring; upgraded shocks and braking system to 2005 Tundra brakes; and added an aftermarket transmission cooler), and traded it in on our F150 for about $6K. (Yeah, I know, I know.) There are some design things I didn't like about it...but that was my first Toyota, and the one that made me say "Ok....NOW I understand why people like Toyotas."

Now the wife owns a 2012 Highlander, and I own our 2020 Tundra. :)

    I have two I regret . My 2003 350z with twin turbos25547380002_large.jpg
And oddly enough my 96 f150. It had 167k but it was a solid truck. Got me through some rough patches. Bought it originally for hauling my dirt bike and paid 2200 for it. Then it became my daily , and then hauled a 7k trailer 6 hours when I moved. It allowed me to buy my first house since it was paid for.... should e kept it and gave it to my kids.

The only two vehicles in my 25+ portfolio of indecisions that I’ve kept for over a year are my current tundra, and my ‘95 240SX that I swapped an SR20DET into. I regret selling that car nearly every day.

'04 Chevy Silverado WT1500 RCLB 4X4. It had the 5.3L with 3.73 gears and a max tow package. I sold it to a hunting club because the rust was getting out of control (stupid rust belt). I still miss that truck. Crank windows.

I bought it when I graduated college. First vehicle I purchased, miss this truck and my shotgun partner Henry everyday. Couldn't have asked for a better truck and dog combo.Chevy 3.jpg Chevy 2.jpg Chevy 1.jpg

Gave my wife a brand new 1990 Firebird just because I loved her so much.
Sold it in 1998 when we had our second kid.

My 2014 Jeep SRT. Put Eibach Sport package on it, exhaust, chrome delete, etc. Had it for 7 years and over 70k absolutely trouble free miles.

Sold it about a year ago when I got married since the warranty was up (didn’t want to tempt fate), and get something a little more subtle for the wife to drive. So got her a 2020 Pro 4Runner.

Miss that damn rig so much, put a smile on my face every time driving it.

What I SHOULD have done is get a new one (or a trackhawk!), and let her drive the Tundra (which she loves).

The only one I miss is my 1963 Chevy II. It was a 300 model which was the higher end model with a little extra chrome. It was my first car and my Dad gave it to me to commute to school after he had used it up. When I junked it there was very little left to the floor boards and the straight six engine used a quart of oil per tank of gas, so it really was used up, but if I had the money back then I would have restored it and dropped in a souped up 350 engine. Even as it was I had a lot of fun in that car and still have a lot of good memories.

My dad wishes he kept his 1974 Firebird.

I liked my 1998 Honda Civic LX coupe but there wasn't anything that special about it. Sold it to my brother cheap so he could work a summer job 200 miles away and he had it stolen off our parents' driveway a couple years later.

My 95 4x2 Ranger had no AC and my 04 DAkota Quad cab 4.7 was underpowered for being a V8 so no regrets.

I have one I regret not buying though. In my late teens when my Mom was talking about my first car for my graduation present I watched a neighbor who was in the budget resto business park a late 60s or 70s 442 in front of his house and tell me he was letting it go for just under 10K. My Mom nixed that before I got the sentence out so that's how I ended up in a 4 cylinder Ranger.

No pictures unfortunately but had a 94’ Toyota pickup 4x4 manual. Was in really good condition. Was having issues with the fuel system. Rather than fixing it, sold it.
    I regret it.
