I don't run flash hider or comp just thread protector or suppressor. I have friends that do and really like the Lantac.

Anyone know if Aero or BCM is coming out with a 224V complete upper anytime soon?

I agree the A2 is so simple yet so effective. The reason I'm looking into getting a different muzzle device is simply for sound reduction on my 10.5. You know how loud they are and I only shoot mine outdoors. God forbid I ever have to use mine indoors for self defense I think the sound and concussion would be terrible. I was thinking put more of the blast down range instead of to the sides. I've seen the Noveske Flaming Pig and the Spikes Barking spider but the only thing I've actually shot is a cheap Cobratec Screaming Banshee. And to be honest I was kinda impressed.

I used a Noveske flaming pig on a 10.3”. While it does work at redirecting sound, holy crap does it make a fireball. So depending on what your intended use is, it might be better to just deal with the sound.

Keeping electronic ear pro with your go to rifle is what I would recommend.

Surefire makes a similar product that mounts on their SOCOM series muzzle devices. Called the Warden.

IMHO, ARs are at their best in 5.56mmx45 NATO and my favorite is the South Korean Daewoo K2 / AR100
