Opinions welcomed.. Looking at an Aero 10.5" upper when their atlas rail comes out or an 11.5" BCM when their mlok comes out. I would live 300 Black, but suppressors are illegal here.

Putting together a pistol build and then go boating.

Yes and I like it. I will say it's not bright enough for a really sunny day but for most of the time it's great. Do you have the firedot on any of yours?

Iv got a Ballistic Advantage in 223 wylde. It's by far the most accurate AR I've ever fired.

Haven't had any of their Barrel's yet I have White Oak Armament, Blackhole Weaponry, McGowen Precision, Daniel Defense, Colt and others. But always use Aero Precision M4E1 upper and Gen 2 lower.

I would like to get a blackhoke barrel for my next build, but that's way on the back burner. I like Aero stuff they make quality parts and are semi local to me. About a 3 hour drive. Defiantly can't beat the cost for the quality you get. Aero barrels are actually made by Ballistic Advantage so if you ever find a deal on a complete aero upper, it would be a good way to try out one of their barrels.

One of the mantras I've adopted is you never need a gun until you need one badly. In that case, a boat crew armed to the teeth might be exactly what you need, so why not?

It is just amazing what a short time can do. I was in California from 93-97 (I was deployed most of it) and I had no issues buying ARs and pistols. Hell, I would go out shooting all the time, and never on base.
Weird how things have changed for the worse. I hope you can leave in a timely manor as well.

    I've got a CMMG .223 (AR15), Walther PPQ .40, Sig Scorpion P229 .40, Sig Mosquito .22, and a Savage Model 64 (.22LR)

I started building a spikes tactical lower, but never ended up having the time/money. So I've got a lower with no guts, and nothing else, lol.

Have you built any wildcat of the 6.5 case yet? I will probably build a 243 lbc next that's a 6.5 necked to 6mm. I took a couple prairie dog at 530yrds with my 6x6.8 wildcat in Wyoming this summer fun cartridge.

Nope. I am hoping that after this year things slow down so that I can start reloading. I have always liked the 243. Had one as a kid. I really like the 6.5 and 308, though the 308s can get fatiquing at the range. 6.5 G is like shooting 5.56 you can do it all day.
