Nope. I don't see what the fuss is all about. A shift knob is a shift knob. I use when I start the truck moving, I use it when I back up and I use it when I park it. Other than that.... Couldn't care less.

Window tint, step bars, air filter, and exhaust. Pretty much in that order. Everything else gets replaced when they need to be (tires, shocks, etc...)

so far the mod i appreciate most is the TRD shift knob. its a lot more comfortable to use. i'm also a big fan of the ARB twin compressor i mounted under the hood.

Does that take care of the loose fog housings? I didn't notice how much the fogs vibrate until it was foggy last week and it annoys the crap out of me.

    No.

You can either buy the TRD center caps and switch the center emblems then sell the them with the Toyota logo.
You could just remove the Toyota logo and add any emblem you want.

These are the TRD center caps with custom emblems.

    20200314_121550.jpg

I'll look for the link for the custom emblems.

    https://3dcarstickers.com/en/category/toyota/

You can get any color you want, just note it . 83mm is the size.

    -Drivers side grab handle
    - @chasenicholas93 's trans cooler kit
    -Rago dash plate
-Real truck tires, not passenger rated stock tires
    -Carhartt seat covers
-RCI skids, especially the gas tank skid

Of course I can't live with my tent, fridge, solar and all that goes with it but above is what helps with durability and daily living with it.

For me the small mods that provide the most utility are weathertech floor coverings, and a small bed tool box. The rest of my mods set me back plenty.

Ooh... these guys do custom logos. And I'm having a new logo for my gun shop drawn up right now. That's tempting

They do nice work, just takes about 45 days to get it. Highly recommend them.

    Any pictures of your logo?

It made mine much worse. The diode dynamic fogs are a lot heavier than the stock ones on my 16. I thought my fogs were flashing they were bouncing so much. Went in and zip tied them to the metal frame made a huge difference.

I sold my factory fogs and upgraded to Rigids. The TRD Pro surrounds make them fit like factory.

The stock shift knob was terrible and the TRD is a huge improvement. I’m sure there are better options out there, but for me the TRD satisfied my needs. I’m sure some day I’ll change it out - I’ve done it with everything else that’s more expensive haha.

I’ve spent the last four years being disappointed with my Weathertech mats. Unless they have substantially improved them I would go with Husky. Going Husky on my next truck for sure.

    I think he is too.
I hated that ugly 2X4 stock shifter.

    limited-vs-trd-shifter-jpg_2f7d0f71260e5aeb133a56ae0ae4181ff487db77.jpg

I rest my hand on my TRD shift knob as I drive.
I'll kick the shifter to the left and downshift on the highway to slow down as opposed to hitting the brakes..
I like to hear the BAM rumble as well..

Probably has something to do with driving these for 30 years...:D

If you park in a tight garage then a FRAC harness from Lou @TundraTex to see the front end is absolutely essential. (I have a 2008 Limited with remote start and in 13 years have only used it twice.) The Toyota OEM tailgate lock is really nice. The SE Toyota OEM center console remote charger is a simple mod, very convenient and works well. Depends on how you use your truck but on my 2020 I have bed liner, bed cover and bed rug.
And welcome to the MGM Club!

    This is a tough assignment.

I think the best upgrades that I enjoy every time I drive are:
    -Katzkin leather and heated seats
-Upgraded sound system, with 5ch amp and 12” sub
    -OCD console organizer

Things I did that I love but always forget I did:
    -stubby flexible antenna
    -rear underseat storage bins
    -Pop N’ Lock tailgate actuator
-PlastiDip Anthracite on the bumpers- has lasted years!

Things that: “You couldn’t pry it out of my dead hands”
    -Diamondback SE bedcover
    -33” Cooper discoverer AT3 XLTs

Other stuff that has evolved the truck:
    -Powdercoated 18” TRD wheels
    -metal oil filter housing

I’ve done more, but it makes me cry.

@panicman - do you have pictures of your powder coated wheels? How much did they charge to do them?

    Powder coat the wheels.

Remove that red TRD logo from the grill...WTH is that? Is that how they come from the factory?
