Yeah, I'd go as high as 8.5 but the movie was easily an hour too long. An enjoyable hour, but not really needed. That hurts it on my rating system. It was a solid movie and the last 10 minutes were awesome though. The fight with Bruce Lee was great too.

Another long one I watched recently was The Irishman. Unlike Once Upon A Time, it earns a 2/10. It was long for the sake of being long and felt pretentious as hell. The old fart actors being altered with CGI and acting like when they were half their age didn't fly. It took me 3 evenings to get through it because I kept getting bored.

Not directed at me but Connery first then Craig then Moore. I also like Dalton but only in Living Daylights. Probably have to go with Goldfinger as my favourite film but any of the ones before License to Kill are great (except On Her Majesty's Secret Service).

Sean Connery of course, best bond....tough one. Probably Gold Finger, but Thunderball and Dr . No are close behind. I really like Daniel Graig as Bond and what he's done so far. Roger Moore and his battles with Jaws are pretty good and funny.

Yeah while I got some down time I need to finish my Clive Cussler Dirk Pit book. Sad he passed away recently, he was one of my favorite authors

I really like Daniel Craig as Bond but the only movies of his I like are Casino Royale and Skyfall, though I do need to try watching Spectre again. I just prefer it when the movies are all stand alone and don't rely on each other for continuity. They threw that out the window when they made Dr. No the first "real" movie. The reason he switches from a Beretta to a Walther in that one is because at the end of the previous book, From Russia With Love, he almost dies because he can't get his Beretta out of its holster when the silencer gets caught. But in all the previous books, he carries a .25 Beretta, rather than a 7.65 mm Walther and he also gets a .38 Smith and Wesson in Dr. No.

I liked Hanna, but you really need to watch Hunters series on Amazon. Very much like something Tarentino would do (if you liked inglorious bastards you'll enjoy).

dislike on Her Majesty's is a universal law. kinda like the sky being blue.

connery is iconic. then i'd go with craig. dalton was good. brosnan was a lot like moore in the role.

i like the series that craig has done. they finally made the movies a bit darker, like the books, and craig fits the character very well. skyfall is probably my favorite but spectre was good. i didn't think he was coming back for another one so i'm pretty stoked on seeing the latest.

do not read any of the stuff that cussler had ghost written in the past few years. they all suck. go back to the original dirk pit novels. way better. used to see him every now and then cruising the car in newport beach.

haven't started the series. been debating because of the dubbing. i hate that. fully enjoyed the movie though.

He also drives an old Bentley in a lot of the early books. And drinks whisky with Felix Leiter.

I like Moore a lot more than Brosnan. His movies are pretty entertaining and not that much cheasier than Diamonds Are Forever. My primary complaint with Moore is that he wears a Timex and drives AMC or Ford (though Craig also drove a Ford briefly in Casino Royale).

I liked Living Daylights, though it felt more like an 80s action movie than a Bond movie. License to Kill bored me.

Brosnan is the only action movie star who can drive through a North Korean army base firing a machine gun and not kill a single person. I read somewhere that the fight in the staircase in Casino Royale was the most violent scene in a Bond movie since the underwater scene at the end of Thunderball.

well, brosnan went from bond to this character...

still a good movie and better than his bond. :D

thunderball is all time. nothing beats that last underwater scene. that movie is what made me a diver and instructor and certified on closed circuit. i wanted his jet pack so badly.

the staircase fight was epic. the only other movie with a fight like that in a staircase that was full WTF, is atomic blonde.

Connery, Craig, Moore. Best movie is Thunderball with Skyfall a close second.

I'm currently watching Predator. This pretty much sums up why 80's action movies are the best:

    That's a matter of opinion. :D

So was I. Why shouldn't it count? I certainly don't associate with these millennial "90s kids".

Millennials are '81 to '96 so technically we count. Fortunately, I identify as an Apache attack helicopter so I can't be lumped in whiners.
