I liked Icarus. It almost seemed like two different films spliced together but the second half that covered the Russian doping business was really interesting.

Shark Week. Anyone watching? This year's is better than recent years. I love sharks , and witnessing a Great White from a dive cage is on my short list of things I want to do. :D

impatiently waiting for season 4. some of the best filmmaking i've seen in a long time.

a week on the road let me get through the boys. next to the expanse, it's one of the best series i've watched.

both seasons of jack ryan were pretty entertaining. michael 'make it go boom' bay was involved in the second season so, explosions.

i have a few of these to catch up on this week.

    looking forward to this one.

What service has this? Wife talked me into getting back on Netflix, she's into the Crown. I can't find anything else I'm interested in. Did watch Buster Scruggs the other night, thought it was good, different, but good.

hulu with the hbo add-on. we picked it up awhile back so wifey could watch handmaid's tale. lots of good options: watchmen, GoT, ballers, his dark materials, reprisal and, of course, letterkenny. some are hulu branded and others are hbo.

i liked season 2. action was a bit higher since, well, michael bay, but the story was well done. krasinski does well in the role.

i've still have to start hanna. i've got a long flight to moscow coming up so...

needed a brain drain last night...

fun flick. the car chase in the opening sequence was off the charts (best i'd seen in awhile) and the stunts through the rest of the movie were pretty impressive. michael bay was a the helm so guns, explosions, beautiful people, explosions, kinetic filming, more beautiful people, more explosions. if you want to get lost for 2 hours with a bunch of 'holy shit how'd they do that?' moments, give it a watch.

finally started this last night. holy. shit. cinematography and editing are beyond top notch. acting is stellar as well. i don't think i've watched anything where the tension stayed as consistently high all through an episode. there is no let up. no moments to catch your breath. i got through two episodes and was completely drained. the way they are telling this story is nothing short of amazing.
