    Shane Gillis is so funny

Currently watching "the rookie" on Netflix. Very good so far.

Time after Time (1979). Prime. An ok film about Jack the Ripper ‘car jacking’ a time machine to go to San Francisco in 1979.

Kate & Leoplold (2001). PlutoTV. A lovey dovey time travel film - I enjoyed it. Liev was funny.

Just finished watching Season 2 of 1923. Taylor Sheridan must like G. R. R. Martin and his penchant for killing off characters. Next up is Reacher Season 3.

Happy Death Day (2017). OK site. A tribute to Groundhog Day. It was entertaining - a sorority student is stuck in a time loop in which she is murdered. Good ending.

Midnight in Paris (2011). Prime. That was $3.59 well spent. An entertaining semi romantic time traveling film, and I learned a new word - pedantic.

Started season 5 of "You" on Netflix. So far so good. It's a great series.

Deja Vu (2006). Hulu. Good action film that moves along quickly. I had seen the movie before but forgot the ending.

Sexy Beast (2000). Hulu. Did not get the title, but interesting storyline with good cast.

Spotlight (2015). Prime. Great cast and eye-opening storyline - about the Boston Globe exposing the catholic church’s cover-up of pedophile priests.

Copycat (1995). Prime. Good crime thriller. Harry Connick Jr did well as a bad guy - I didn’t recognize him at first.

I just watched Titan on Netflix.

I never really knew the story behind Oceangate and Stockton Rush. I thought the whole thing was just a terrible accident...and it was, but I didn't realize how many times people and tests told them that it was unsafe, and how sketchy that thing really was.

Hardcore Henry (2015). Prime. Average acting; decent special effects considering the low budget; nonstop action. Did not like the POV format.

First Reformed (2017). Prime. Distributed in US by A24, so you know it will be something different. Someone said it best - the film is oddly mesmerizing. It got an Oscar nomination for Best Original Screenplay.

Clue (1985). Pluto. That was entertaining.

Precious (2009). Tubi. That was hard to watch but good cast and well made film.

Fog of War (2003). Tubi. Very good and informative documentary; interview of Robert McNamara. Won Best Documentary Oscar.

Fail Safe (1964). Tubi. A Cold War thought-provoking film.

Ran (1985). Tubi. Epic action drama. Good overall, but our protagonist was clearly played by too young an actor for the elderly role he was in.

Secondhand Lions (2003). Tubi. A heartwarming family film. Solid cast.

The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie (1972). Tubi. What a kooky little film.

At Eternity’s Gate (2018). Tubi. 60’s Dafoe as 30’s Van Gogh. Good docudrama film otherwise.

10 Things I Hate About You (1999). Disney. Nothing new here, but good cast and soundtrack.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005). Prime. That was very entertaining. The peeing on the corpse scene was hilarious.

Strange Days (1995). Hulu. Entertaining SciFi crime thriller. Fiennes is a wuss; Juliette Lewis is hot; and Bassett is hot and a bad ass.

THX 1138 (1971). Archive.org. A very peculiar film, but must-see for Sci Fi fans. Written/directed, and first feature film, by George Lucas. Based on a short film he did in college.

A Scanner Darkly (2006). Plex. The rotoscoping was very annoying; otherwise, an entertaining film with good cast.

Sunshine (2007). Hulu. Pretty good SciFi thriller. About 20 min in I realized I had watched this before but forgot most of it.

Calibre (2018). Netflix. Kinda had that made-for-TV vibe. Well done with an ending I didn’t expect.

Pan’s Labyrinth (2006). Prime. Very well done.

Brokeback Mountain (2005). Prime. Good watch. Excellent performance by Ledger.

Tyrannosaur (2011). Tubi. Despite some peculiar WTF scenes, this was a gem. Peter Mullan and Olivia Colman are superb.

There Will be Blood (2007). Paramount. Great performances by Dano and Day-Lewis.

Mid90s (2018). Netflix. I felt that had an abrupt ending but a fun entertaining film.

I like Mariska Hargitay on Law and Order: SVU.
I watch a lot of the older reruns after the wife goes to bed.
She made a film about her mother, Jayne Mansfield.
Jayne had ties to Dallas in her youth.
    We enjoyed watching this.

Big Fish (2003). Hulu. A rewatch I couldn’t pass up. Heartwarming.

BlacKkKlansman (2018). Prime. Good watch. I did not know it was based on a true story.

The Proposition (2005). Tubi. A western, Outback-Aussie, style. A bit quirky at times but a good watch.

Transsiberian (2008). Tubi. A good crime thriller. Has a good ending which I did not get till the next day - it was a duh moment.

Interstate 60 (2002). Tubi. A fun offbeat storyline with entertaining cameos from Michael J Fox and Kurt Russell.

Detour (1945). Tubi. An entertaining noir film. It has a very hated female characters, maybe most hated I’ve ever seen in a film.

4 Little Girls (1997). HBO Max. Documentary of church bombing in Birmingham AL in 1963 that killed four little girls. Heartbreaking.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961). Paramount. Hepburn shined but storyline-wise, her character has anger issues - you can have her.

Say Anything (1989). Hulu. Entertaining HS age flick with a good soundtrack.

The Fugitive Kind (1960). Prime. Slow start but kicks into gear when the ladies appear - Joanne Woodward and Anna Magnani. They carry the film, Brando was just eye candy.

Black Caesar (1973). Prime. Among the better ‘blaxploitation’ movies. Good score by James Brown.

Things You Can Tell Just by Looking at Her (2000). Prime. I rather enjoyed this low rated film. Good cast for each of six interconnecting story lines.

Marilyn Hotchkiss’ Ballroom Dancing & Charm School (2006). Tubi. Another low rated film I enjoyed. Good cast and creative story line.

    Kingpin (1996). Tubi. Quirky funny.
