What are you streaming/watching?

I've always hear it they were an hour into their mission. Haven't seen it in a while.

 

@TILLY - that reindeer show after a few episodes turned so dark and weird.

 

Yeah, we shut it off. Can't just have fun can we.

Again, Clarkson's Farm was great.

 

Ah. That seems so early to settle in but it does make more sense.

 

Holy smokes you aren't kidding. Just finished it tonight, truly disturbing.

 

The Killers (1956). Free Movie Classics. Burt Lancaster’s film debut, and a good one.

 

1946. Yeah it's a good one.

 

M (1931). Max. Very well done crime thriller.

Watched, "Man in Full".
Meh...too many foghorn leghorn southern accents for me. Lot of it didn't make any sense at all.

Haha. I sometimes turn on subtitles on UK flicks where their accents are too heavy for me to understand. And on some of the earlier US films.

 

Dude we so death we always have CC on. I read shows more than watch.

 

This is the only thing I miss about broadcast TV, turning on TMC and catching something old I never heard of, "M" is a great example. I know I can stream TMC but I have to seek it out, maybe try a random selection.

 

Max is HBO’s app. If you already have HBO, you have free access to Max, just set it up once and you are good to go, at least through Roku stick. Max has so much content, it may be worth paying the subscription.

Started The Gentlemen on Netflix the other night. Only an episode and a half in so we'll see how it goes.

 

The Third Man (1949). Tubi. Pretty good British noir film. Often times voted best British film to date.

George Carlin…It’s Bad for Ya! (2008). Tubi. Carlin passed away from a heart attack less than two months after filming this HBO special.

 

Barry. Max. Completed S4, end of series. Sad but good ending. Was not predictable, to me.

Iron Claw. Max. Better than I thought it would be. Impressed by Zac Efron’s performance.

 

Watched "Ferrari". Editing really got on my nerves. Going from a scene in a church with people praying to a Ferrari running flat out really blows out the speakers and raked on my last nerve.

 

The Cabinet of Dr Caligari (1920). Tubi. A ‘silent’ movie and considered a game changer of horror flicks.

 

Making a Life (1914). Old Classic Movies/Youtube. Charlie Chaplin’s film debut.

The Kid Auto Race (1914). Old Classic Movies/Youtube. Chaplin’s 2nd movie and intro of the famous Tramp character he would play through 1940.

The Kid (1921). Fawesome. Chaplin’s 1st feature length film. A funny tender story about the Tramp running into and reluctantly taking a baby into his care.

 

You might not have noticed but the "Kid" was Jackie Coogan. What happened to him as a child star is what led to the Googan Law protecting child actors earnings from low life parents (in his case his mom and step dad). He went on to serve in WW2 as a glider pilot and acted all his life.
You might also know him as...Uncle Fester.

 

@Moon Puppy I did know that. I looked him up before watching the film. I also read that Chaplain and him got very close during filming. Chaplain thought it important to add to the on-film chemistry, and it shows - from holding hands to on-film kissing.
