Just picked it up on 4k blu-ray. One of my favorite guilty pleasures.

 

I watched all 6 episodes of the TV show "Police Squad", and could not for the life of me figure out why this show was cancelled after such a short run.

On a different note, sadly, Balto and his team were sold after their run for a Vaudville show,and were confined to a small caged area in a novelty museum and used in a "freak show" before they were rescued and eventually wound up in Cleveland Ohio at the Cleveland Zoo. No mention in the book or movie is made of the fact that Native Peoples actually mushed more than 2/3 of the way to Nome.

Edge of Tomorrow (2014) - IMDb on someone's recommendation in this thread.
I don't regret it, it was worth the watch.

I kinda forgot how hot Michelle Pfeiffer was/is.
It was like a West Coast Miami Vice movie.
Interesting to see how much things have changed since 1988, worth the watch.

There were several great shows back then. Mel Brooks created "When things were rotten" but it was short run as well. But that did give us "Men In Tights".

Watched Gladiator (again) last night.
Started watching flipping thru the channels.
After 2 commercial breaks, I pulled it up on Prime and finished it.
One of the few movies I've seen more than once, I'm usually not that big on rewatching movies....

If you haven't seen it, it's a must-watch...

Currently in the hospital, so this has been a good time-killer. Not as easy to get into as Band of Brothers, but still good.

 

This and the original are always worth a few hours.

Just finished 'The Righteous Gemstones'. Probably one to avoid if you're a fan of the likes of Joel Osteen.

Danny McBride is a puerile dick but boy can he turn out some funny shit.

 

I liked Band of Brothers a lot better.

 

Same here. The characters in BoB were a lot easier to relate to / get to know. There seemed to be more of a connection with them.

 

Same. I don't think I got half-way through The Pacific... and I own it on blu-ray.

Glad it's not just me. I wasn't sure if it was just because I'm Canadian and we didn't fight in that theatre in WWII.

 

Special Ops,, Lioness,,,, episodes 6 and 7 were bad compared to the first five. Hoping they get back to being a good show to watch on episode 8??? Episode 5 was great!

I think they spent a little too much time on Cruz, but other than that I think it's piecing together nicely.

 

Given the current hype over AI, this 2018 movie is perfect. No big name actors in it but it doesn't need it - I highly recommend!
