I liked Fubar in way I didn't expect... Not a typical "Schwarzenegger super series" but one with a family tied other side, that I like in a cheezy good way.
And I felt like the episodes got better as it went on.

I have to say I'm disappointed in A2
With all the possibilities you can have with exploring Pandora's mysteries, they bring the all the dead bad guys back to life, leave all the good dead people dead, and make the same movie over again but in water instead of trees.

Jake runs from his home with a planetary defense system again humans because a couple reborn avatars sneaked in one time?

Steps down as Tarük maktâho because he's scared? Wtf

    Insulting to the Naví people.

Poor writing, phenomenally entertaining cool effects but just a horrible Sequel/copy to the original.

I watched Avatar a thousand times, one of my all time favorite movies. I watched A2 only twice, once in the movies and tried it a again on D+ but it just has nothing to wow me like the first one.
    Rant over

It's not like the first one was anything but a special effects movie anyway. The story was weak. It was "Dances with Wolves" but the Indians win.

I saw the first Avatar when it came out and maybe once or twice since then. It was ok, it didn't really blow me away though. Nothing unique to the story at all and while the effects were great for the time, it's just another CGI movie to me.

I watched Avatar 2 a couple weeks ago. Basically the same feeling and I probably won't watch it again. The CGI and special effects are impressive but once again the story isn't anything special.

I forgot all about Avatar 2 five minutes after I walked out of the theater. And like @Toyotoholic said, it was the same movie as the first one.

I've been waiting for True Lies and The Abyss to get a blu-ray or even a 4k UHD blu-ray release, but Cameron apparently is too busy and won't release them until he is ready to personally supervise their production on said formats. In the mean time he's devoting his time on stuff that doesn't compare to his other/older films. I still have a little faith in Cameron though, but I hope he doesn't forget that the art needs to be greater than the artist.

I think Cameron's time for greatness has come and gone. From what I can tell, he's pouring all his time into the next 37 Avatar movies, which will all be basically the same as the first two. He doesn't seem to have interest in any other projects.

Hollywood has gone down the franchise and reboot path. Basically, they make way too many movies in a series attempting to build a franchise money tree (Marvel) or they do lame re-boots of classics because they either don't have original content or think virtue signaling is the best way to bring in money (Disney).

I agree about Cameron, I just didn't want to say it and wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt.

But yeah, outside of that, $$ is sadly the core driving factor. And I'm also getting tired of the pandering and PC B.S. They are now using characters as plot devices to build a story around a quota.

I hate yard work, but stuff like this is neat. Good to see people being good people. Yes, I know he makes a bunch of money doing this "for free", but that doesn't make it any less helpful for those who get their yards done.

Middle school band teacher wouldn't let me play the trombone. Made me play the baritone instead (mini tuba) and I feel robbed.

My son and I have been watching
    "The Days" on Netflix
about the Fukushima level 7 nuclear disaster. He read about it and wanted to watch it. I didn't realize what actually happened or why so it's been worth a watch so far.

My kid takes over the living room TV so I'm currently watching Lanky Box. Yeah.

Took the wife to the airport early this AM so I'm a zombie right now anyway.

Speaking of Yellowstone, I hate that they pushed it back to November! And now due to a pending writer's strike, 1923 S2 is in limbo. :frusty:
