It's really just research for the future.

 

Seriously. It's scary how some of it has become more and more relevant today. Like the crap they're putting in "fitness" and "vitamin" water which people don't seem to question and accept it as healthy. Just an example of society becoming desensitized to what wouldn't have been acceptable 20 years ago. The more and more the government relies on who has the most money to solve problems (corporations), then it's just a matter of time. The only thing far-fetched about the movie is the year the future takes place. I don't think it's gonna take 500 years, providing we don't blow this planet up first.

 

The cause isn't accurate either. It's not because only dumb people breed. It's because self esteem is prioritized before achievement. The entitled don't want to do anything because they've been told their whole life that it's somebody else's job to do the hard things and take care of them. Their uniqueness is special enough and they are so amazing they are owed all the necessities and wants. Poor or rich bred, doesn't matter. The idiocracy mindset is well and truly established.

 

I agree, but I wouldn't "judge" it on that when the film released mid-2000s, and was likely written at least a couple of years prior. The entitled were still in process, and the consequences forthcoming, if not entirely unknown. But for sure, the mindset is absolutely here.

Not great but not terrible

wife liked it more than I did but she also has a crush on Kate Hudson so might be a little biased. We both agree she wasn’t that great it in but played the character okay.

the mix of actors and their characters just painted an odd picture and setting for me. Couldn’t shake it. Might give it a rewatch in a few months and see how I feel.

 

My wife and I just kept saying "everyone is trying way too hard to make it work... Too many chefs in the kitchen"

Last night I watched The Banshees of Inisherin after the wife crashed.
I had to keep watching it to find out why.
It's a piece of artsy fartsy sh!te, don't do it...

I watched Emily The Criminal on Netflix the other night.
I didn't hate it, I don't regret watching it..

Tonight I'm going to try Bullet Train, I like Brad Pitt.
If you've never seen Snatch check it out, I think it is his best movie.
Watch it with closed captioning, you'll know why.

I've been watching a lot of old westerns for some reason, reruns of Bluebloods when it is on..
I don't really usually watch much TV, but I guess because I've been off work for 7 months I need something to do when the wife goes to bed.
There only so much going on on the forum..

Yeah, I heard some people talk about Mayans and say it was good. I haven't seen it, but figured I'd get to it after SoA.

Even hearing people talk about Mayans, still say not as good. I'll give it a shot but leave my expectations low.

 

Is Blacklist any good?

 

I thought so. At least for the first few seasons.

It's pretty consistent, but maybe just me feeling like it's the same thing over and over. I felt it got a little redundant but still a good show to watch.
