What are you streaming/watching?

I'm finally picking back up on other shows after spending almost a year getting through Doctor Who, which was a partial re-watch that I restarted from the 2005 season that I never got passed the first 3 seasons some time ago.

So the past week I started where I left off with Fear The Walking Dead episode 6.10, and currently on 7.04. It's gonna work out perfectly because I'm also behind on The Walking Dead, so by the time I wrap up Fear and start back into TWD, the finale will have already aired so I won't have to wait. They sure did drag out the final season.

 

Rewatching Warrior Nun season 1 on NF, season 2 airs tomorrow. Not the usual choice for me but I'll watch a show like this for it's originality, multi- dimensional evil, science and badass nuns kickin' serious butt!

 

Snap! I forgot about that show!

Might give it a rewatch over the weekend

Little early, but been holding off long enough.

Christmas Vacation

 

We always watch it early so that we can watch it again shortly before Christmas.

And I just picked it up on 4k UHD disc, upgraded from the blu-ray. I HAD TO . Will probably watch it this weekend.

I haven’t seen the 2014 one. Is it worth a watch?

 

It was ok. It's basically the original but with modern tech.

 

Well, that’s underwhelming, but honest.

I’ll add it to my list and save it for a hangover day or when I’m completely indecisive and okay to be disappointed.

 

I'll add that it has an interesting if not deeper take on the psychological effects on Murphy's character.

I liked it overall and have re-watched it several times. It has more action for sure and a typically modern take of course. But I still prefer the original, mainly because the remake was missing Verhoeven's clever touch. If I didn't have the original to judge against it, I think I would have liked it more. Overall I'd say it's at least worth a watch.

 

Good point, it does go into Murphy's character alot more. It's more than just an action movie. Joel Kinnaman is a good actor too and he does a good job playing Murphy.

 

Mayor of Kingstown. Highly recommended.

So the current poll about people talking during movies/shows just reminded we were at the theater one time and this chick in front of us kept yapping on her phone. I asked her to please stop as did a few other people, but she ignored it. So I pretended to make a call and talked loud enough for her and her friends to hear me. I pretended to call the theater and ask for the manager, and informed them that the person in front of us was being rude and wouldn't stop talking on their phone. I pretended to chat for a few moments then counted out loud how many rows back and seat position as if the manager asked me. I paused a moment and then said, "wow, you'd really do that? Awesome, I'll see you in a bit." I pretended to disconnect and said out loud, "Wow, can't believe they'd actually do that. This witch is screwed." Except I didn't say "witch". They got up and left.

It was a while ago so I don't remember what we saw. I remember still having a flip phone lol. But when I look back on it, it probably wasn't the best idea being that the people around me didn't immediately know what I was doing, despite the fun victory.
