    I'm not as fond of 97.1 The Eagle as I was 98 KZEW (The Zoo) and Q102 from back in the day. I left Texas back in 1992 for the Navy. Returned to Texas in Dec 2013. No more 98 KZEW or Q102.

    Me neither, that's the hd2 stream. Slippery when wet I think. Its alot better. Remember when they used to have the texas jam concerts? Q102 was a good one, as was 94.5 the edge.

    We are probably about the same age, I graduated hs in '93.

    Graduated HS in 86. Went to the '85 and '87 Texxas Jam (yes, spelled with two letter x). I don't like the woman morning DJ on the Eagle. Being that my morning and afternoon commutes are minutes each, I get one song in. I fire up one song from my 70 gig MP3 folder on a USB. From driveway to parking lot is Aerosmith's Sweet Emotion exactly if I get caught by a two minute red light.

    Cindy skull, not a fan either. Or Russ Martin who comes on around 3pm. 90% of the time I'm streaming pandora. My commute is short too. 10-12 minutes if I'm not dropping off or picking up kids.

    Epic is still one of my all time favorites.

    Interesting story about faith no more that a friend of mine told me about. He was close to the music scene back then (knew people I guess)

    Anyway, they originally started off as faith no man and was going to have Courtney Love as the front woman.

    Anyway, someone didn't like her and they used Chuck someone. Can't remember his last name.

    They were in need of a new singer and sent out the instrumentals of epic out to some different people and the song we know today is what Mike Patton sent back. He put those vocals in on his own as his audition into the band.

    Whether or not it's true, still kinda cool.
