    Attn: Anyone who is a fan of modern metal music, especially heavier stuff should check this out. Really cool band that just put out their first full length album. They're called Mirar. It's all instrumental, so no vocals. But wow. They are insanely good musicians. Apparently they don't use synths. All the dub-stepish noises are made with guitars.

    @OldGuy03

    I went back and watched that 'Beware Mr. Baker' film. I definitely forgot more than I remembered :rofl: Definitely a curious individual, but damn was he good on drums.

    Eccentric to say the least. It's usually the real weirdos that are beyond talented... I'm glad you enjoyed watching it. I've been jamming to Ginger Baker all week myself.

    I'm just a couple songs in but so far this is sick. The level of skill required to make anything heavy without vocals is next level. Reminds be of Alluvial's first album, The Deep Longing for Annihilation. That album is a work of art as well, not quite as dark or heavy, but incredibly well done.

    Also I think you posted Mortician the other day, that's about as OG Hard/Gorecore as it gets, it's rad!

    Edit: I actually have no idea where I saw Mortician, but check them out if you don't already know lol.

    If you had to get a CD or tape stuck in your car/truck CD player (assuming they still existed), what CD would it be?

    I think I could live with "Houses of the Holy" Led Zeppelin.

    When I was still in school in the 80's, we had an end-of-year school project. It was a "just for fun" project since it was the end of the school year.

    One of the options was to make a soundtrack to follow a book we had recently read in class. I put 8 Black Flag tracks on a tape and my English teacher ended up getting the tape stuck in her tape deck in her car. :rofl: Black Flag is old school punk rock, nothing my English teacher would be remotely interested in hearing.

    She came in to class afterward and told me in front of the rest of the class "I could just fail you for this.".

    In high school I was tasked with a poetry project. Never in my life have I ever admitted to the plagiarism that I committed on one of those poems. She gave me some interesting commentary on that one...

    I could never answer that question without regret shortly thereafter, and if I did, I would deserve to be slapped upside the head. Just impossible for me.

    This is too hard of a question for me but the first one that comes to mind is Trouble at the Henhouse by The Tragically Hip.

    https://youtu.be/Yo6fm-xZv-k?feature=shared

    I listen to my iPod on shuffle more than most music purists think I should. There are certain albums that I'll always listen to in their entirety if one of the songs comes up but I don't know if I could listen to them repeatedly.

    If I was going to pick a Zep album, it would probably be Physical Graffiti but they're all great.

    Agreed. I can't even choose one per genre or even band that I like.
