I listened to that album in its entirety, the only way to listen to it IMO, on my trip to the Outer Banks last weekend. Musical perfection.

Happy belated birthday! And Calvin and Hobbes are my favorite. It took me a long time when it first came out to figure out why Hobbes looked real and then like a stuffed animal sometimes. I must have a slow neural network. :bored:

I saw Roger Waters do the entire album without Pink Floyd and it was good...but not as good as Pink Floyd without Waters in 1993.

Anyone go see Roger on THE WALL tour a few years back? Now that was a show

I'm all about your list of your loves...though some of the stuff that those boys before your post are "must listen to" tunes that are classics in their genre.

I go love me some Stones, Jimmy, and Zeppelin!!!!!! Not 100% sure on Johnny Lang though. Gimme something to reference

Have you ever seen Shadow live? I saw him about 8 years ago in ATL and he does his own sound, lights, video, and had 4 turntables, drum machines, synthesizers, sequencers, live drums, and guitars.

About mid way through the 4 hour show he took this 70's "how to drum" video that was hooked to his sampler and was scratching the video in rhythm with the rest of his sound.

Also, at the very beginning of the show, before he came out, he had an intro song rolling and was controlling the video and asking the crowd questions from backstage....on the screen. When the answers were wrong he would correct the crowd by answering and responding (on the big screen). Get this...he's from Brooklyn and all the questions were Atlanta trivia questions!!! He had done his research and was actually educating the people of Atlanta about THEIR city....all the while he's from New York

If you ever get the chance to see him perform a LIVE show (not DJ set) then you MUST!!!!! His show is in my top 5 due to the amount of effort he puts into it. He was on the same level (in my opinion) of creativity as Pink Floyd, TOOL, and my new found fresh view of Primus. Ive been to a TON of shows and DJ Shadow is among the top level entertainers in the world. PERIOD
