I was lucky. In high school we jammed on Led Zep when Led Zep was still a band.

I also listened to them when they were no longer a band. But, I pretty much listened to anything that caught my ear.

That had to be crazy good. I saw Elvin Bishop with Mickey Thomas at the Eugene Armory in 76. Saw ELO with my older brother there too the same year.

The Calling came out with a song a few years ago called"Wherever You Will Go". Didn't care so much for their video. The vid didn't do the lyrics any justice. Bad production. This guy got 29+ million views on You Tube. Play it for wife /girl friend ..make sure they have tissues close to hand to you.....

Country is rockified nowadays. Most , not all, and not necessarily bad. Old school was /is the best. Formerly know as Western . Blondie.... first rapper IMHO...."Rapture". Gee..I wonder where "Rap" came from? Who knew.

Damn I'm old. Next...Best band ever........The Beatles.......started it all. Broke the mold. Rock went uphill ever since them.. and I love Pink F,... and Led Zep didn't actually suck. I was listening to them in high school. Prom music. Black Sabbath didn't exactly suck back then either.

Mo Ichi Do for this song. Perfect night in Toronto. 1995. Canucks got the best live version ever...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dmfrPrN1L_s

After watching this particular video you'd think all Canuck girls have decent b**bs. Sorry ..just stating the obvious.

Sabbath/Zeppelin - the roots of metal. Timeless.

I still stand by Floyd. Beatles yes were awesome. They wrote killer mainstream stuff. But Floyd's innovation was unparalleled.

Beatles weren't mainstream. There was no mainstream rock back then. It was the beginning. The later Beatles music was the first innovative, unparalleled recordings ever done at the time. They were the first to experiment overlay vocals, instruments, sounds in the recording studio. For what it's worth , the Beach Boys actually made a highly regarded recording in sound experiments with "Pet Sounds". Considered one of the best produced album ever. Wasn't respected then because it was "too innovative and unparalleled for the times". Pink Floyd guys were still getting weaned. (Remember..I love Floyd....)
