My old boat had Rockford Fosgate in it. I thought it sounded really nice. I also hear focals are great too. Did you have any fitment issues?

Never really liked aftermarket head units. Plus with the Toyota app and all of that, I wouldn’t feel comfortable. Plus the fit and finish is never as good as stock

I’m going DSR1 and new amp, new speakers, new sub. DSR1 is already ordered. Amp and speakers are next

I was willing to spend the extra $$ for the ported version as I want more boom in my bass. Not hip hop boom. But, when I blast Rush, I want to feel Neil Peart's bass drum.

That's funny. I felt the OEM H/U in my Platinum looked cheezy as hell, with the two, silver analog rotary knobs and the faux brushed metal frame that surrounds it. I think my aftermarket Kenwood with gloss black frame looks a thousand times more elegant. But hey, to each his/her own.

I usually stay with stock headunits. I was super hesitant to swap it out in fear of it looking cheap. I’d have to agree, I was very surprised at how good looking it turned out.

Especially the newer floating ones. I think they look awesome. They cover up a lot of the dash.

I like how these look, looking straight on, but from the driver or passenger seat they look like they were stuck on there as an afterthought. I have the tesla style HU and it looks like it came from the factory, but obviously there are a few bugs that have to get worked out when you first set them up. I wish one of these name brand companies would make a radio like the tesla style.

I’m with you on that. They almost look like the Audi head units. I like the Tesla style. Like you said I wish one like an alpine or KENWOOD would make one.

I do like how that looks in the pic, if it's your truck. I'm really digging that screen saver. I've been wanting to pull down my headliner and cover it with a black and white American flag like I read about on a thread in here.
