Finally moved all my stuff out of the rental and into my new home. Everything is still in boxes and my garage shop is not set up yet. Then I realize I have tons of storage under the house, but getting to it on a slope carrying heavy stuff is hard. So now I have to get myself a Kubota UTV to help shuttle my crap to storage. Yea first world problems I know, but dammit I want to finally be unpacked and settled in!

I set up an Amazon account about a year ago. I've been bombarded with spam calls and emails ever since.
    I don't think it's a coincidence.

I've been with Amazon from the beginning when they only sold books. Never got spammed or unwanted emails. Phone calls? Seriously? Never happened. Not buying this at all. You can go into your Amazon account and turn off things. Always read the fine print. Due diligence. SMFH.

Today what annoyed me is someone who’s given 100 ft of merge lane to get on the expressway YET they see you coming and STILL quickly jump into your lane making you jump on the brakes to keep from rear ending them! Had they used the merge lane to speed up, that wouldn’t happen!

Happens to me every day. Will get worse. I drive defensively all the freaking time now here in Denver. Heck, I thought Manila and Tokyo was nutz driving there....and I have driven in both places.

Times like that I wish I had an adjustable roof mount battering ram; extend it, adjust height to punch through rear window, penetration of rear glass, have a nice!!!!! Hell, I'm thinking a stout piece of PVC would do the trick (and save payload :D)...

We were using my stepson's account to order stuff for a while. It was a PITA so I decided to set up my own account. Within a week of setting it up, I started getting blasted with spam calls. That happened.
Was it because of Amazon? I don't know for sure, but it seemed unlikely that it was a coincidence.

Or you could have a PVC pipe floating on bed rack mounts (above your roof line) with something that secures it and releases it remotely. You can then let the momentum of the stop propel it forward once you release it. :D

Is it actually a load if it's not strapped down or is it just travelling an adjacent route through space and time at an equal speed and simply continued on its travels upon my sudden stop?

Visiting my parents. I love them. But they live in a place so remote and isolated that their echo chamber of world view is…small and frightening. And my dad can’t go ten minutes without spouting off on a tirade about <insert crazy ass far right wing conspiracy theory here>. It is exhausting to listen to, and I’m glad my wife isn’t here because at least I’ll just stop listening and change the topic but she’ll run headlong into the foray.

That does sound exhausting. The being remote part sounds great though.

But does your dad believe in aliens, unicorns, nessie and/or bigfoot?

    I can SO relate.
Dad is 86 and he is the same way.
Mom has limited ability and counts on his help..
Their house has termite damage but he won't allow anyone into the house to give an estimate and/or fix it.
My sister and I have offered to pay for it, even though he has the money.

I love him, but talking with him is exhausting.
Apparently, I'm the only sibling (of 3) that will call him out on his BS.
He just shrugs it off that I don't know what I'm talking about..
