Not enough, apparently...yet. This damn forum...
The latest...the power tailgate lock seems to have developed a mind of its own and decided to go on vacation indefinitely. Guess I will have to determine if its a fuse or the actuator...yay

I think he was talking about a lack of spaces to store things other than drinks, and I have to agree. That's why my very first purchase was a Swing Case.

wasnt so much of an annoyance until it keeps rearing its ugly head through our late winter here in northern MN. My wipers freeze to the windshield because of the heated strip. Every time snow hits the strip/wiper it melts and turns to ice and freezes to the glass. It's already stripped the gear on my driver side wiper. With any decent snow now on the glass it just gets held up under load and wont move and now it's messing up the alignment of my passenger side wiper. Maybe its not a an issue for most of you folks to the south but this is the only vehicle I've ever had an issue with my wiper blades freezing to the glass after the defrost is on. Didn't notice last year because it was a mild year and I bought my vehicle Jan 2021. Hopefully they can fix my stripped wiper motor gear under warranty.

You can't turn it off on a 21? I always thought the strip came on/off when you hit the switch for the heated mirrors as well. I could be wrong though. :monocle:

When you remote start your vehicle it seems to automatically turn on. Normally have to run two cycles here most of the winter when its below 0. The strip and the windshield defrosts. Then you start driving from anywhere from 0 to -30 temps and then the wipers freeze to the wet defrosted windshield. doesn't matter if defrost is on or off, it will freeze regardless in subzero temps. that and the way the wipers are recessed into the cowl, all the snow blows on to the wipers once you start driving. there is so much snow build up on the wiper blades too, so it never clears the glass due to the ice that forms. Almost wish it wouldn't work, what i thought was a great feature has turned out to be a PITA. have to spend extra time trying to clear all the snow off the cowl, wipers and in front of the hood. or maybe I just need to move out of the nations freezer

That does sound like a PITA. My truck doesn't seem to have this problem at all, I wonder why, as I'm here in the winter wonderland as well. Have you tried setting the wipers to slow delay after everything is heated up to see if you can keep it from freezing until its dry?

I used it yesterday when the FedEx mook was too lazy to bring my package up my drive deciding instead to toss it out the door in to the ditch. I added the descriptive term Fxxking to Mook though. Seemed to fit better.

Can you not use deicer/antifreeze in the washer fluid bottle and spray it periodically to mix with the precipitation?

Biggest disappointment (annoyance) is how the interior plastic scuffs or scratches so easily! My other Toyota Pickup is almost 30 years old and it's interior plastic is far superior to the plastic used on the 2020 Tundras! Other than that and the tow package that excludes the transmission cooler, it's a great truck! I love stepping on the gas and hearing/feeling that V8 come to life. Something my 30 year old Pickup lacks.

might have to get back in that habit again.

I definitely could. the problem is usually when you start driving after the windshield and wipers are wet. they immediately freeze once you get going and start moving. once they are frozen to the glass the deicer spray is irrelevant, especially if the snow starts to blow from the hood and onto the cowl. Then you also have to chip all the ice off the plastic cowl too.

the heated cowl strip is a great idea, I've just learned that when you frequently deal with -10F to -30F temps in the winter that I need to try and clear all of the snow off the hood prior to driving to avoid the problem.

I leafed through and did not see this one. I keep my truck in a garage and I have that feature where you lock/unlock the doors by touching the handles. I keep my truck unlocked in the garage for obvious reasons. Sometimes I get into the truck in the morning and when I grab the handle the doors lock :censored:

Are you sure that your not inadvertently touching the two horizontal bars at the front of the handle? That would lock them.
