With dogs in the backseat, I'm happy not having the Auto windows in the rear. Its easier to adjust the window height without accidentally opening the window all the way.

haha yes it did. my SR does not. Not a big deal , my hand has yet to fall off turning the wipers on every now and then . In So Cal we dont get much rain . My windshield gets more water on it from the busted yard sprinklers driving through my housing tract .

Since I'm working on putting the transmission cooler on my 21, two things (other than the fact it didn't come with one).

    1. Having to pump the transmission fluid up into the pan from underneath.

    2. The absurd fluid level check procedure: Must start below 80 degree pan temp. Get pan temp into that 12 degree zone (99-111) by cycling through S 1-6 and Reverse before reaching 99 degrees, once you reach 99 degrees jump under truck and take out overflow plug hex bolt and let it drain till it turns to a "trickle", then put bolt back in. If you go out the top of 12 degree zone before this happens you have to start over.

Who thought of this? My last two trucks had tubes extending up to the top of the engine compartment, dual purpose transmission dipstick and fill pipe all in one. The Toyota "engineers" are laughing at us.

I'm almost two months into my '21. Just towed a 3500# trailer (after installing the cooler) with her she she was sitting fat and happy at 190F on the flat.

Annoyed that I spent the afternoon underneath my 2000 mile ‘21 CrewMax wire brushing rust. Painted exposed areas with POR-15. Many machined steel surfaces were not painted or protected. Every weld seam on the frame and control arms had paint flaking off. WTF Toyota?

The annoying ding the radio makes when my wife's phone is connected over Bluetooth and she gets a text or email. I swear I turned that off.

Little annoying the SC isn't a dealer option anymore.

Very annoying I will have to remove the interior chrome and paint the tan trim and headliner black

I have a 2020 1794: The lack of underseat storage in the rear of the crewmax, TPMS, chrome around the shift lever, the lack of "premium" on the premium stereo system, weak/brittle paint (chips easily), lack of a rear locker. Still, I love the truck.

Although still in the honeymoon phase, here are a few items my truck is missing:
    1) Heated steering wheel.
    2) Defrost grid in rear window with horizontal slider.
    Otherwise, truck is perfect!

    1. No auto up/down on the rear window.
    2. Inconsistent fuel gauge graduations. Why aren't they all are quarter tank intervals?!
    3. Center console lid is humongous and awkward to open from the front. Side opening may have made more sense. I'd jump all over a kit to change the direction it opens from.

This is a fun game. the head unit 100000%
the 2018 if playing radio and took a call would pause the radio mid song and then you could resume song or skip ahead to live radio, radio had better lay out as well in the 2018s than the 2021. (Touch screen wise)
Bluetooth connection is trash most of the time doesn’t pair with phone well at all. the speaker for phone is upfront only. Not in door panels anymore.

No issues with pairing phones to Bluetooth in my truck. I'm pretty sure pausing and skipping radio is only for Sirius.

My 2020 will pause radio stations if I take a call through bluetooth. I have the option to fastforward to play live or stay put. If I change the station though, I lose the place I was in.

Also, have never had an issue with pair bluetooth either so sounds like a random/software issue for @KOTR31

The fact that I need to touch the paint if I only have one hand free to put up the tailgate. Fingerprints on a clean truck make me crazy.

That said, I had to think about this thread for a couple days, because really, this truck is heaven sent.

    Okay, I'll play:
    • the cheapie plastic steering wheel (heard you can replace with leather-wrapped one from a Tacoma though; junkyard maybe?)
    • no auto up for windows
    • no real differential setup, posi or locking (although I don't need it for 99% of the driving I actually do, as opposed to the driving I want to do)
    • I do miss the ventilated (for summer) seats and heated steering wheel from my Charger
    • no factory remote start; always nice to hit it and come out to a warmed up rig and just get going rather than waiting to warm up
    • No grab handle on driver A pillar, especially noticeable since I did the 3" lift (running boards on order to help with this).
With all that being said, none that kept me from buying and wanting to keep it around; I like the looks, the dependability and the truck feeling when it's snowing or one of those monsoon rainstorms pops up.

Haven't had a Cheeto in over a decade. Probably confusing since my location says Gulf Coast, but we make a point not to eat like the land whales down here. Plus I'm sure that orange 'cheese flavored' powder would eat right through my paint, I'd never roll those dice, only a fool!

Thing I cant stand is this is my 3rd tundra (08, 10, 21) and the fronts rotors have warped every single time. My 2021 now warped at about 10k miles, BS.
