    Major annoyances.

MPG extremely inconsistent one truck to another. (I got one of the worst)
MPG really suck, mainly due to poor design choices.
    CM should have 6ft bed.
Oil filter and skid design access are both ridiculous.
Factory remote start that shuts off when door is opened is useless trash.
Lack of standard underseat rear storage is disgraceful.
    LSD should be standard.
Can't turn off/on easy access power seat without techstream.
Power tailgate lock should be standard.
    Bed step should be standard.
Auto up/down windows should be standard on all 4 windows.

I totally agree about this. But if you get out and just leave the door unlatched, no beeping.

You can unplug the door sensor button(s) and achieve your desired result.

A Tundra isn't designed for serious offroading. It's a bit long and wide for every trail I've ever seen (not that I've seen a lot...)
    I think that's why they didn't bother?

Surprised no one mentioned this yet so maybe it's just me. I hate the position of the rear window switch being on the dash. Would love to see this moved to where, you know, the other window switches are.

I hate that you need photographic memory to know where all your switches are in the dark. Why can't they be backlit? Bunch of real budget decisions for a truck that sells for more than a Ram that has twice the options.

Previous to last week Monday, my 1 complaint would’ve been the remote start shuts off when you unlock the doors to get in. Every other brand of vehicle I know it keeps running & you either have to push the or turn the key once in to keep it running.
Now however, the soy based wiring harness that a squirrel chewed the hell out of is my top complaint!!!!!

I don't off-road and don't ever really plan to. I still think it should have a real LSD. These trucks are so light in the ass-end and break traction so easily, especially in snow. I'd rather just have a real LSD than a braking system to accomplish this. I had a Speed3 before this truck and it had a real LSD. Granted it had a lot of power for a little car and was FWD so it really needed it. I also had a 2003 WRX and it had a real LSD in the rear though they switched to the brake based slip detection on later years. I forget now what years this happened but I believe it was the 08-09 model years.

I can't really complain, as I knew about these things when I bought it, so I knew what I was getting, but...

    • No heated steering wheel
    • No automatic wipers
    • No LED tail lights
    • Low payload
    • No transmission oil cooler

With all that said, I still absolutely love this truck!

    Just plain not enough HP.
People don't by trucks to save gas.
A tundra needs another 200 HP to become the TRUCK to own in the USA.

    Yes, there is.
They took into consideration that the potential exists to have someone besides the key holder get into the truck and take off.
    But it still is annoying.

It's all software. Lock it PARK until the key fob is in the truck. This is just one of a dozen ways they could have handled it instead of shutting the truck off.

Not sure what year you have. But, the newer gen 2.5s (i have a 2021) can changed simply for the asking at your next dealership appt. Simply ask them to eliminate the never ending seat belt ding (fairly quick software flash) at no charge.

Can’t and won’t complain . I’ve had Toyota dodges ,gmc and Chevys . Toyota is by far the most reliable. I’d rather have the reliability over the cosmetic features of the competitors. I drove a 2013 GMC Sierra work truck for a few years . No power windows , vinyl floors & seats , no Bluetooth , no remote anything , just a truck . Yes my sr tundra doesn’t have all the “Gucci” items like other trucks but after driving a truck with nothing , I love my tundra .

This is really dumb IMO. Maybe someone can clarify the reason.

Once you start the the truck, even with the keys in your pocket, the “smart” door handles don’t work.

for example, starting the truck and unlocking the passenger door from the outside doesn’t work with FOB or smart handle. Only option I know of is from the inside control panel.

Same. I have push button, wish I had a normal key.

IMO, push button is a solution in search of a problem that creates new problems.

Another thing I don't get, if the 2.5 Gen can be remote started, why does the brake need to be pressed when starting from within (on push button model in my experience).

My 2000 didn't need brake, with a reg key, to crank the engine.

Federal regulations require it on most cars (either pressing the break or being in neutral). Safety to prevent the from moving forward and hitting someone if the driver isn’t prepared.

The option to disable the seat belt chime is available through TechStream for a long time. Many dealers; however, won't do it for liability reasons and/or local legal requirements. I did it myself using Carista on my 2nd Gen 2013 because of my dogs hopping up into the passenger seat. I still need to do it with my '21.

I will second the auto rain sensing wipers. It's annoying to have to constantly adjust the wiper speed manually. Florida rain is wonky: one quarter mile is dry, next is a torrent, and another is a sprinkle.

Another thing: The camera sucks and switches off immediately after getting out of reverse.

Last thing, Auto UP/DOWN on the rear doors is missing.
