What annoys me about my truck? That I didn't buy one sooner! I could have had the trans cooler AND had it paid off by now. I wasted so many years I could have been driving a Tundra!

There’s a spot on the door beneath the window control\arm rest\handle where 2 pieces of trim meet. Gets me every day.

I know I've ranted about it here before but I just can't stand the system for changing the tires. Hooking those little bars together so you can jack the truck up is so rinky dink. There are 27 steps in the manual on how to get the jack and tools out from under the back seat and one tiny, unclear picture on where to put the jack to lift the front that doesn't match the tiny, unclear picture on the jack. You have to practically get the truck up on two wheels to get the front tire off the ground...

Stereo is awful and wish it wasn’t so roly poly in slow speed turns. Want to get front and rear sways, but I don’t want to lost the articulation off pavement.

That's why they are warping. Down shift and use snub braking.

I know what you meant here but I just want to make sure everyone else gets your intended message.

Going downhill with or without a load requires downshifting to an appropriate gear that will just hold your desired safe speed. Let's say that safe speed is 45 MPH. You're towing heavy so you've selected 3rd gear for the grade. Foot off the throttle and brake. Allow your speed to creep up to 50 MPH. Then firmly apply the brakes to smartly decrease your speed to 45 MPH again. Release the brakes and repeat all the way down the grade. Your brakes will cool down between applications and you can do this all day without harming your braking system components. This is called snub braking.
Stab braking is for brake lockup conditions when the roadway is slick from rain or whatever and your vehicle does not have functioning ABS. Firmly apply the brakes until they lockup then quickly release the brakes until the wheels start rotating again then apply the brakes firmly again trying to regulate pedal pressure to hold pending lockup. I'm not the greatest at hitting that point.

Typo FTW. You are correct. Snub breaking is the technique that should be used. The word "stab" just sticks in my brain better. Edited original post to avoid sending some poor soul down a hill jamming their brakes to lock up over and over.

Actually and ironically I used to drive my 2019 Outback Premium work car over my Tundra just for better tunes on some days. The Tundra is much worse.

Oh man, out of about 20 different cars I've owned in the last 8 years, the Tundra is top-3 of stock radios. It's not good but it doesn't kill me. Worst of the bunch was my 2015 and 2016 WRXs. They sounded worse than my 8$ computer speakers at work.

I wish the rear view camera would stay on for a few seconds longer when your trying to center in a parking space. Don't want that door ding. I normally back into a spot and I hate how it goes away when you pull forward to correct.

Minor nit. Been sharing the truck lately with wife, having to adjust mirrors each time we switch. It is annoying to have to lean forward to reach the mirror adjustment switch when it should be within reach on the armrest. Leaning forward makes the adjustment a guessing game...

The clear plastic. Actually, I'm convinced it's not clear plastic and instead some alien experiment from Toyota. The plastic over the instrument panel and the plastic over the gear indicator ARE RIDICULOUS. Breath on it and it scratches. For God's sake . . .

Annoying that it is awesome and no longer easily replaceable.

And that the back seat has so much room. I am jealous of my kids, I drive and they’re ridding in first class back there.

And that it seems to be a larger target for cat theft.

I know this has been said... This truck has literally everything I wanted for creature comforts (push button start, adaptive cruise control, Apple CarPlay, digital climate control), and I found my 2020 Crew Max with Calvary Blue/Tan cloth interior and TRD Sport package (read nearly zero chrome) and I was soooo happy! Then I drove it home on June 28th 2022... enjoyed living with the new (to me) Tundra... figured out the tow dynamics with my travel trailer, showed it off to the friends and family, ENJOYED the V8 power! Man, this truck is AMAZING!

So... to my surprise, after a couple of drives... it ONLY has power down window for driver side.... WTF!!! My 99 4Runner has power up/down for front driver/passenger, and my 2009 Toyota VENZA (base model) has power down/up for every window. This was one tiny let down that I never thought wouldn't be included in a 2020 model Toyota.

Secondly, the weird volume/track steering wheel controls where the volume plus/minus is side to side and the track advance is up/down.... talk about backwards world.

Yes, the interior has lack of storage, no tailgate power lock.. nor side bed step thing... but those are easily fixed.

Still thoroughly happy with this truck. And, happy to be apart of this community.

    Cheers.

People buy a 21 or older Tundra, knowing full well it's pros and cons but complain anyway. I have a base SR5, don't need the COOLER, bells and such. Just wanted a good old school truck and I am a happy camper.

I installed small lift and larger tires. Now my 38, I mean 32 gallon tank gives me 410 to 430 miles. When I disconnect the battery it jumps to 635 with new fill up. Now I have to go the next five fill-ups with my hopes being dashed more every time. 635 - 567 - 511 - 481 - 415. Disconnect battery again.
