I have an older (now) Viper 160xv alarm and remote start that I installed right after I bought the truck.
Added DEI window roll up/down modules for all 5 windows. Windows automatically roll up whenever I arm the alarm. Hell I even wired up the rear window defroster to automatically turn on in the winter time.

The rear defroster would be a great feature to have!

The Viper has a setting for it that you can either enable or disable when you remote start the truck. It was a giant pain in the ass to wire, but it's so nice when you wake up to 8" of snow on your truck.

Would have been nice if the installer told me that :)

Python, Viper, Clifford, and Autostart are all made by the same parent company, DEI.
I just checked the LC3 install guide and you do have a trigger wire for the defogger. Blue/White wire on the 24 pin harness.

I bought this on 1/12/14 and have added a code alarm remote start, an Alpine head unit with Nav and a backup camera.
My tech recommended Code Alarm, I've had it and the truck for 3 weeks now and so far so good. Remote start is a good thing.

My Tacoma had Python for 6 years and I never had a problem.

    Many!
You have a rear window defroster? I don't think I have ever seen a pickup that has one.

Some of the upper end Tundras do have it. I hadn't heard of it until I started researching them.

I have the Toyota one...works mediocre and you have to be about 50 feet from the truck for it to work. It came with the truck so I guess it's not really worth it to swap it out

I had that issue on my 05 Avalon, Toyota factory remote start sucks.
