A little of this and a little of that.
Unfortunately Joe, your truck is only worth what NADA and KBB say it's worth. You'll never get your money back on All the upgrades you put into it. If you can I'd take off what you can and sell seperately to recover your investment.

If you know you may sell the truck in only a few years it's best to try to hang on to all the pull offs and put them back on before selling. Craig's List all the add ons. Definitely will get a better return on $$$ spent for them!

I would consider removing as many mods as possible and listing them here + the Facebook group. If you do lmk on the shocks! Why are ya thinking about selling?

That is a sharp looking truck and should sell fast. I would ask more then NADA and KBB and see if any one bites. Stealers do all the time If the person knows what it cost to do the mods they will pay extra.

    Too many to list
Either sell the accessories separately or wait till you find someone who is looking for modded truck. Keep relisting your truck on EBay after the first listing expires. Summer is the perfect time to sell modded trucks. It takes time don’t loose hope.

If you are an impatient person, sell it to dealer and get nothing for your accessories.

    BTW, Very nice truck.
Only thing that is working against you is 4.6L

You have tasteful mods, and someone looking for a really nice truck would find yours appealing.

The way I look at mods:

Take 50% devalue and add it to your price except for stereo (since everyone knows Tundra steroids suck), sway bars, weathertech floor mats.

    Good luck with the sale.

Your truck is nicely set up with relatively low miles.Thousands of $$$ in upgrades. You will eventually find someone that wants THAT truck.Just be prepared to take a hit on your add ons if you trade at the stealership. If you are looking for a new Tundra you realize the cycle of upgrades will start all over.

That is a nice looking truck. I don't agree with the mods not adding value. Sure, you won't get back the money you put into the mods, but you will get some of it back for the right buyer.

However, I do agree that the smaller engine is going to hurt you. But, then again - some people might be looking for it - but not the majority. Best of luck.

There literally no benefit to having this smaller motor. Gets the same MPG as the 5.7

    If only I had known...

Exactly. If there was a serious mpg gain, then I could see the value for some.

You have a beautiful truck! If you own your truck outright and title in hand your in a great position, (if not much harder) and you are FAR better off selling on your own. Put it on auto trader (or others), ebay, craigslist, Facebook and this site. I agree with the majority - your going to eat most of your mods. I just spent a year looking on the internet for a CM with some specific options, I looked at both Dealerships and Private - preferring private. I was willing to fly 1 way anywhere in the country for the right truck right deal - so I increased my buying power. I looked at 4 websites every other day plus ebay, I ended up going to Raleigh NC from Illinois for the deal, (at a dealership)

Regarding your truck - I (as a buyer) would want to know if you have the paperwork for everything, (including all maintenance), especially the lift and everything you did to the suspension. I would want to know the name of the shop that did the work so I could research them. If they (seller) could not produce I personally moved on, also at 53 years old I pretty much listen to talk radio and when I listen to music whatever is in the truck (stock stereo) is fine with me. LOL So the $1,500 audio would mean absolutely nothing to me, nor would I pay for it. The headlights are ok, but a high end light bar would my preference. Please don't take anything I'm saying as negative towards you or the truck, I'm just trying to give you the flavor of your possible target audience, maybe you find a person that wants all those specific mods. I agree with the crowd though, if possible I would sell some of the easier mods to pull, stereo, lights.

to maximize the $$ on the sale you need to sell privately. Dealers don't care about the mods. When I traded my jeep in they appraised it with the mods, I then wanted to take some stuff off and they said the trade value wouldn't change. I took off what I wanted and sold it and made a couple grand.

anyone saying the mods add value need to get a grip and come back down to planet earth. There is a reason so many here are saying the same.

If anything the mods lower the value, shrink the buyer pool considerably. the truck is least desirable configuration, least desirable motor, and has been messed with to no end. he will be lucky to get even close to blue book.
