Sorry, it was @Eurodriver who though you were to be taken seriously. My bad.

Once again, I get no credit.

    Feelings? Plural?

And that's why we're all sticky!!

You're welcome in my igloo any time.

A few times a year. They're often at their best later at night, so I'm usually asleep. There's a facebook group The Woman is a part of though that has alerts, so if a good show is predicted we'll often drive out of town and have a look.

The igloo is open to you too.

Ironic considering my reply was in regards to someone’s judgement about how another person feels about a ding in their $70k truck.

My point was...these things aren't cheap. The SR, what some might call the fleet/working man's truck, cost $36K...at the very least. I work hard for my money, as do others, and I don't have light feelings about spending 10s of $1000s of it. OP is about to spend almost twice that and to insult their feelings on signing to drive it off the lot is...how to put this nicely...tone deaf AF.

"Who cares about fake leather seats and a 14" screen..."-Fxclm5---that sounds an awful lot like judgement, my guy.

Make sure you post the bill when you add that for less than $2k, too.

You can buy one that cheaply....well used.

I have no idea how someone could spend the money on a modern truck with the mentality of...it's a truck. It's a little past that.

not really, the 2 biggest creature comforts that you actually use day to day are the fake leather seats and the 14" screen,

dont believe me here you go:

    $890 14" new aftermarket headunit,

$1k 14" new oem headunit, edit this sold but they got another at $950

    Katskins, $700-1k +install or diy, Clazzios $600-1k

I am somewhere in between $1500 and 2k+ (katzkin may cost 500-1k to install if you dont diy). Modding is fun, been doing it to my last 2 rams, albeit they have milllllions of units on the road so the modding community is very large, you will be surprised how many base line trucks are made into full on laramie limited for cheap, just bolt on everything and activate it all via a alfaobd app (just as capable as a dealer scan tool) They do have millions of units on road = lots in junkyards as well and the buy/sell/trade was heavily active with swaps and stuff.

Thanks for recognizing my point. For the record I would not have accepted delivery of the most basic SR or, frankly, any new vehicle, with a door ding in it. But, each to their own. I have too much respect for the effort it takes for anyone to get to the point where they can buy a new vehicle, regardless of the sticker price.

Judgement is better left to those more qualified to render it than am I.

    That wouldn't be for a 4x4. That's for a 2WD. 4x4 you'd be just under $40k.

For the record, I wouldn't accept a new vehicle with a noticeable ding either. I wouldn't expect free stuff but the ding would need to disappear before I drove off the lot to make my own personal dings my way.:mudding:

Yep. There are probably enough things wrong on a new vehicle you can't see to accept one you can.
