    Oh these are so true on stock axles. With Jeeps, strip the drivetrain, use for scrap metal or target practice, then buy:

    Chevy motor/trans/rear axle/Ford D-60 housing, Chevy spindles, bearing hubs, brakes, Atlas II transfer case. Then you have something that will hold together for a bit.
