Well then, Anza's not too far if you wanna join us. If no one else takes it on, I'll start a new thread for that, this weekend.

For a day trip for sure! Work amd some family obligations make a whole weekend difficult these days, but with some planning ahead of time i could do a longer excursion!

Bahahahaha! Funny you thought of Tattoo. When I first mentioned his qualifications to be our Official Recreation Director, in a PM, @sdde4n also thought first of this guy!

Yes, probably lots of kids. So far we've had good Fambly participation. But, so far, the only one cleaning other guys' trucks has been me. :anonymous:

I'd get ahold of ToyTec and tell 'em how you plan to drive your truck. I think they can help you do it well for about that.

I posted and quickly removed the post because I thought it was in the wrong place to post.

You guys are quick on the response! So thank you.

I don't do much in the sand and desert is less common. Mostly fire roads and then some more technical rocky stuff is my preference.

I'm shooting for about 3-3.5 so not trying to to UCAs (yet). I do not want a leveling kit or blocks for the rear. I am also not worried about how it looks under the truck as long as it rides well and functions.

Totally okay to post it here, especially as we mostly BS between easy dirt runs, of the type you're trying to equip for. If you search, you will find tons of advice on this without posting a new thread. However, you are very likely to hear Bilstein and ToyTec as the top recommendations in that price range. And since toy tech can hook you up with either, I would start there. They have a great reputation among the members on this forum.

Totally agree, my thoughts on posting here in the socal area was to find out from folks what is working well for people in the areas I will actually go out into.

Well. Stock set-ups have been working fine for what we've been doing. I have TRD and a few guys have Pros. The only reason I could think of to modify suspension for what we do is to lift enough to fit larger AT tires. So, I may do both... but not til my stock tires wear out. I'm in the minority though; most people in love with their trucks enough to spend time on here, do lift and tires right away.
