@SAGE63 although we have not met I would like to extend my support in your difficult time. It’s been a long time since I’ve participated in the forum but we have always been like a big family.

Hey guys I am planning to drive from So Cal to Nor Cal and need some camp spot ideas along the way. Big Sur is one of them. I will be with my wife and two kids. We like dispersed type of camping, but camp sites are good too. Appreciate the advice.

Does anyone want to pick up my front bumper cover in black from my 2020 trd pro? It's in Huntington Beach. I will dump it if no takers.

If it fits your schedule, Pismo Beach.

Another cool spot is River Bend Resort on the Russian River. This one is a campground with facilities and a store.

Oh, man! Treatment during that time? Got you in our thoughts.

We'll spread the word about your spot being available. Did you already post it on TW or do you prefer we spread the work both places?

@SAGE63 would Kyle be a good roommate? I’m heavily debating going. Already got the OK from the better half so I should make it up there that weekend

    Here’s some more info @SAGE63 @greentrbo95gst

It’s happening August 12th starting at 6 at 10842 Katella Ave, Anaheim.

If you haven’t been it’s a monthly meet of various Toyotas. Usually a couple dozen built up rock crawlers, some long travel guys, and a bunch of stock-ish rigs. Plus a few people selling merch and food, and a flew ramp. Could be pretty big since is their anniversary.

Check out @YotaTrader on Instagram for pics

So I recently got some damage to my wheels from a local tire shop. I am working with the manager to get my wheels repaired by American Factory Wheels in Santee. They are saying they need 3 days with the wheels. I cannot be down the truck for any amount of time really.

Wondering if anyone local has a set of used wheels I could possibly use for a week while they repair mine. Or a cheap set I could purchase?

I see a couple sets on offer up but thought I’d try here first.

    TIA

If I may make a couple of suggestions… had a few family members go through similar situation over the past couple of years, read a bunch of studies.

Avoid Sugar and carbs like bread, pasta. The day before each treatment, enjoy anything you want to eat and drink some Baking soda mixed with honey.

I can message you the studies if you’d like to read them yourself. What this does is starve/weakens cancers cause their main source of food is sugar(carbs turn into sugar) Then when sugar is available/last meal the night b4 treatment, cancers become active which helps the treatment target it more effectively. Baking soda with some honey amplifies all this. The study I read said treatment was 30% more effective with baking soda.

CBD oil(take as much as you can) will help with your appetite/digestion & how you feel overall. Since it’s in your lymph nodes, the treatment will be full body most likely and can take a lot out of you. CBD oils can really help.

We’re here when you need us bud. Rooting for a quick recovery.

I echo what Voss said about the sugar and carbs (and alcohol, which breaks down into sugar).

The info about eating whatever you want the night before makes sense-- unless there'll ever be a time you think you'll get treatment, then it gets rescheduled. Sounds like your treatment schedule is pretty set, and you live in an area with a lot of good medical support, so probably not really a concern.

Caution: several people I love who've gone through similar suggest avoiding favourite foods once you're doing chemotherapy, because the flavours won't be right, and it's ruined a few "bests".

We're all rootin' for you, Sid!

Thanks Sunny. yeah meet with the nutritionist on Monday... good thought on favorite foods... don't want to spoil them.... damn no beer and Pasta

Yeah my treatment plan is set in stone... there are very few variations to treat what I have. agressive chemo followed by bone marrow transplant in most cases. They use your own, so no doners required.

Rusty asked if I was attending San G and I don't really know much about it. Probably won't make it this year, but can someone point me in the right direction to learn more about the event?

BTW this is a cool thread and I'm kinda jealous.
We used to have a TX BS thread back on TW.
As many of you already know some of us 1GT guys, namely me ;), don't associate with the later model Tundras for various reasons. And there just ain't enough of us TX 1GTs that are active members these days for our own thread. I'm the only Tundra in the group of Toyotas I usually wheel with. And yes I often make it look easy to the peons with their i4's and v6's. :D

    Anyways carry on. :hattip:
