Following up on this and giving an update as suggested by @Sunnier . I contacted ARB and it took a little bit to get my RGA number. But after they got my request they asked me a couple questions about the shocks and for a picture of my tundra. They sent me a shipping label and I packed them in a pelican case. Sent them off to ARB and .


Well, I got them back today and they look great. It took the timeframe they quoted. I’d definitely recommend going the ARB route if anyone is wondering. I can’t speak to the quality of the shocks, but their customer service seems to be pretty great.

 

What was the shipping cost and how long did the turnaround take?

 

This is awesome! I’m stoked they took good care of you, and appreciate you letting us know how it went. Of course, I look forward to your report, once you’ve got ‘em in the truck.

 

Shipped them out on sept. 27th and arb covered the ride both ways

 

Did you use your own pelican case?

 

I did. Picked it up off Amazon for $130 or so. It’s a vault which I believe is product line made by pelican. Incredible build quality

end of my day fish creek trail head... came thru via s2 mud caves.

 

Looks fun, did you run solo?

 

Unfortunately yes... but met several people on the trail. Glendale Ca area some from chandler az and Phoenix. so not really solo... diablo dropoff was very very rutted... lots of people were taking the far far right bypass. ran down twice thru the center and up once via the left.

 

Damn those guys really did some traveling to get there. How was the temps? Freakin 90 degrees in riverside still

is diablo drop off really that challenging? i hear it's tough but i see photos and videos and it doesn't look challenging at all.

 

Not challenging downhill. A few of the routes uphill are very challenging. But you’re not supposed to drive it in the uphill direction, so….

 

What is your experience level and what is your build. After these rains everything will be different from a couple weeks ago. many of the ruts may be filled in or possibly eroded more hard to say. worst case the bypass trail to the far right looking down should get you down if you are concerned.

 

well definitely dont come in to the dropoff from from Fish creek in the east. though when I last went 3 groups were going the wrong way on the single track trail.

 

Sunnier down hill was quite rutted and one of the down hills you had to cross over to the other track due to the 2 3 and 4 foot diameter bolders in the ruts...in hind sight I should have taken pictures...
