    What tires do y’all run?

in the process of getting 5 new tires but my guy said he can’t find any BFG ko2s in 35x12.5. He can get 325/65/18. It’s marginally bigger. Thoughts?
Any other tires I should look at?

How are they on road? I do a lot of highway miles. But love to get off road and be confident.

Good so far! Just got em on when I went to Idaho, and with 37s I’ll be re-gearing at some point.
If you stay with 35 you’ll find good grip on the trail and most true to size.

I’ll reach out to my guy. Thoughts on 35x12.5 vs 325/65?

Seems the stt pro is more comparable to the BFG mt?

at that point why not just go with those? Since I love BFG

I guess my only concern is going from a BFG AT to the Cooper stt pro. Lately I’ve been making the trek from SF to LA which is 6 hours of cruising at 85mph.
Then when in town I do hit trails but not every day all day. I’m just worried I wouldn’t be putting any MT tire to good use for the money

I’ve had both the bfg Km3’s and Cooper stt pro

The STT pros are great tires. I’ve never had any issues with them off road. On road they make quite a bit of noise.

BFG Km3’s are much quieter on the road. Off road very capable. They do seem to “chunk” more than the STT pros.

I run Toyo R/T’s 35x12.5x17. Great for off road, not loud on road. My truck is my daily and I have over 40k miles on them.

Yeah they’re kind of a hybrid.
I put a lot of road miles on my truck and also hit dirt regularly in a wide variety of terrain. They’ve worked great for me in all areas.

    That new, new!
Matte black Method 701 wheels with 35x12.5R17 Toyo MT’s.

A lot of trimming to stuff these with only a 2” lift and I’m sure more to come as I articulate the suspension.

Found more chunks out of the stock tires a few weeks ago so I took advantage of the Memorial Day sales even though shouldn’t have.

I love those stock Michelins, but mine are all chunked too! I was gonna replace ‘em with off-road tires.

    ... got a 4x4 1st gen instead. :D
