    I typically use the MURS frequencies being that most don't have their HAM license (self included) and these are safe channels to run.
    Occasionally we'll run different channels, but more often than not, we stick to the MURS frequencies.

    Not to intrude haha but I've got a buddy that just finished his 2wd LT 1st gen taco build. He's been battling transmission issues, he finally got all the bugs worked out (or so we think) and he wants to do a Pine Valley run for a shakedown.

    Sunni, the traffic through LA, Past Magic Mountain, the 10 freeway, the 5 fwy etc... is horrible. I drive it every other week for work. I'd rather head South to SD than NW through LA any day any year any time. :frusty: The scenery is also much better. Little Maddie loves her car naps!

    We tried a fire trail from our house to a nice restuarant here in the SB mountains. It wasnt too rough and I aired down to around 25 PSI. It seemed to be smooth enough!
    Momma rode in back and monitored baby. I think as long as I take it slow shell be good. The Tundra has always been our plan for family outings after the baby was born. I have gotten permission for a camper shell and awning and then im going to build out the inside myself with a bed and rolling drawers (similar to decked). We have been scouting yellow post sites for in a few months when things start to warm up! I'll keep you posted, we love how family friendly the last get together was and are hooked! We couldn't continue the trips because my wife was "too pregnant" and the bouncing was bad.

    I also want to get 34" tires next time as opposed to 33". That should add some to the babies comfort.

    When you're building the system for the back, keep in mind head room. That's the only thing I don't currently like about camping under my camper shell. With my air mattress alone there's minimal headroom making it hard to sit upright.
    Eventually I'll get a thick piece of foam, cut that to the bed shape, so there's a bit more room in there.

    I'm sure your Tundra will have more vertical room than a little taco - but something to keep in mind as you're building it :thumbsup:
