This was a few weeks back but I decided to try out some truck camping, taking advantage of a perk for volunteering to do some scuba diving lake cleanup.

My old tent fit perfectly in the 6.5' bed. I didn't realize how much of an improvement the soft-open/close tailgate would be. No more loud thuds in the middle of the night or in the morning.

Next addition will be a nice drawer system/platform so I won't have to load everything into the cab. Possibly wiring an outlet into the bed.

What are some good modifications to look into for camping?

I never used a tent in the back of the truck
    Just used tonneau covers

Maybe LED lights i the bed?
