Mine does the same. High heat, upper vents only, no recirculate causes a really loud noise from front passenger vent under the dash. Move the temp to low or change the flow to both dash and floor vents and it goes away. Annoying but I will just deal with it.

I have the similar whistling noise when the hvac is set to the dash vents, airflow is very weak. When switching to max defrost it has very good airflow but you’ll freeze your feet. Pretty sure it’s a blend door issue that causes a restriction to reduce airflow.

I also noticed the rear vent whistling issue today for the first time. 2022 1794 TRD Off-road. Noise only occurs when fan is on the more middle speed settings and can be diminished by adjusting the vent, and completely removed by closing the vent. First noticed running the heat today, do not believe it was present when using AC in warmer temps.

I had a Honda that developed a blower problem and would get really loud. As a result, my first thought was a part going bad. But it seems like this Tundra issue is "normal".

Has anyone found a better fix for this than just shutting the offending vent?
