So before I went full tilt on the current dedicated setup I had purchased a Goal Zero 400 that had sat on the shelf so long the battery was no good.
Got a nice discount on it.
Replaced the battery and then purchased another 30 amp battery.
Piggy backed that battery to the goal zero using an anderson connector. Keep them in a plastic crate I picked up from home depot. So a total of 60 amp hours and when I was using it i never ran out of juice.
Now with my dedicated system the goal zero hangs out in the garage and charges my phone and the blue tooth speaker while I work on things. I will get a pic of it when I can

yes. But lifepo4 is better in terms of cycle lifetime.

Went with a 700w/hr Bluetti (eb70s) because it’s the most popular Lifepo4 pack on the market right now. Use it for fridge, fans, and phones.

No solar interface planned right now.
I also avoid using the inverter if I can.

I’ll be putting it through its paces next week as I travel.

That is the brand I have been looking at due to LiFEPO4. Heavier than LI, but 7x the cycles is awesome. Just trying to determine what size to get AC200MAX or AC300. I like the fact you can add on batteries.

can't go wrong with either one, they have worked well for me. If you are keeping it in the bed, pick the one with the better attachment ability so you can secure it better in bed.

personally, I have only dealt with renogy solar panels before, but I don't have a lot of experience with solar panels in general so I can't say either way.

Rich solar is a legit brand. Will Prowse has done plenty of reviews on that brand. That’s a good deal for $100

I use a Jackery 1000 with a Rockpalz solar panel from Amazon. Both are covered by a 4 year no questions asked replacement policy through amazon. Its perfect for my needs. It will power my Iceco V45 fridge while camping for 3 to 4 days without needing a charge. If I do need to charge it, the 1 panel will charge the Jackery in about 8 hours, so during that time, I would use a Viking car jumper pack from Harbor freight to run the fridge. Its 180W max but it will power the fridge for a day easy if needed. I know they say you can do pass through charging, but jackery does say that it will damage the battery. I also have it as cheap insurance instead of wiring the whole house for a generator in case of power outages. It can run both of my fridges at my house for a solid 5 to 6 hours.

That's why I bought the Rockpals Freeman 600W this morning. The LiFeP04 battery is newest tech. Lower voltage and much more life cycles. EF EcoFlow power stations have great specs and I think some models now have the LiFeP04 battery tech. I decided to get the new upgraded for 22 Rockpals RP100W panel today too. Everything is going with the Anderson solar/power station connector as the standard now it seems. Zero Goal has great specs too btw. Bluetti has been also mentioned here and love the add on battery option. Great specs. Any quality power station and solar panel will be pricey, but worth it imho.

Pass thru charging is not recommended when using the AC outlets due to impedance/load and can shorten battery life. Pass thru charging with the 12VDC outlet and or usb's being used is ok. fyi.....always avoid using the AC outlets if you can use the 12VDC outlet. Less battery draw and most decent power stations have a regulated 12V out...

Where did you see the AC versus DC differences? Jackery did not have a distinction in their documentation. I can email them too I guess....

Jackery isn't very clear on this. Other power station mfrs are more clear on this. The idea is not to draw too much current while pass thru charging using the AC outlet/s. Some mfrs actually state pass thru charging is ok in DC only.

You would need to make sure the input solar charging wattage can handle this panel. This panel is rated at 350 watts. My EcoFlow battery pack can only accept up to 200 w solar charging. So this one would be a waste of money.

I use (2) 120 watt panels parallel but the most I’ve ever got is 190w on a sunny day.

That is interesting, my 175watt renogy panel gives me 130-145watt on a sunny day and around 50-80watt on a less sunny day.

That’s a lot of watts; not sure what you’d be running to use that kind of power. When looking at a potential setup, you need to consider a few things:
    • Battery capacity
    • Charge capability of solar generator/charge controller (both solar and dc input (and if they can be run in tandem))
    • Total watts of solar panels
    • How many watts you’d be using per/hour for your average usage (you may use significantly more while camping than commuting to work)

It’s only 500 watts, which is an average size pack. There are many significantly larger out there. Folks such as myself use this size to power a portable fridge. It’s a decent price but the company looks like another unknown generic co.
