My BIL has a half lab half pit mix that retrieves ducks like a pro and she has barely been trained. This Deke must walk on the water. Pretty pups for sure.

I live in NW Pa.. Anything that resembles duck hunting here is strictly coincidental anymore. Even layout boat hunting on Lake Erie isn't what it used to be. We used to get Blue Bills by the thousands now not so much. Some good looking dogs on here. I miss my old Chessie. Hunting hasn't been the same without him, and it sure limits where I can go......

Hope everybody had a good 2022/2023 season! Here’s some pics from my best hunt of the year.

Also, just out of curiosity, does anybody know where I can find an extractor for a mossberg 935? Mine broke on the hunt above. Mossberg is out and can’t tell me when they might get more. I’ve scoured the internet and local gun shops. If anybody happens across one please let me know.

Yeah…tried that too. No luck. I’ve had that gun just over 9 years. I can’t imagine how many shells I’ve put through it, ducks, dove, turkeys…and a $9 part stopped it.

A cursory glance shows it sold out at the three places that list the part. Have you contacted Mossberg? They list the part as sold out on their website. Maybe they have an eta on when it will be available.

edit: looks like you’ve gone that route. Maybe time to make your own, or have someone else make it. Need a water jet or plasma table. Looks like a pretty simple part.

Typical NW Penna season. Few birds, weather too warm, wrong wind most of season. Wish I could say we slayed em but that's not how it works up here. Even layout boat hunting (big water) sucks anymore. We just do not get the migration we once did and our beloved Blue Bills that we used to hammer are now a thing of the past. Glad I'm near the end of my duck hunting shelf life......

Same down in Arkansas. First half of the season was warm, no water and no birds but after Christmas it was great through the end of Jan

I appreciate all the help and replies on the extractor. I think I may have figured out a solution. The extractor for the early mossberg 9200 looks identical to the extractor on my 935. I found one of those. So I’ll know in a few days if I wasted my money or not.

Dremel might help make it fit if it’s off a little

Good news, the mossberg 9200 extractor is indeed the same as the extractor for the mossberg 930/935. Back in business and ready to shift gears to turkey season :headbang:

Our turkey season here in Pa doesn't start until May. Which seems like a long way off unfortunately.

Glad it worked!! My new trigger housing came in for my 835 as well. Gold trigger is a cool bonus.

That gold trigger looks good! Might have to see if I can find one for my shotgun.
