What product do you guys like best to get rid of water spots? Will a clay bar get rid of water spots as well?

Clay. Wash. Wash again. Elbow grease. Sham wow or squeegee. Then drive it down the street for a few miles. Sham wow again.

    I use a leaf blower.

Get plenty of weird looks from the neighborhood while I'm doing it. Once had a group of about 6 sitting on the porch watching and laughing.

Still didn't care. It works great.

You have hard water. Get yourself a portable water softener and connect it to your garden hose when you wash your truck. Also make sure you wash and dry your truck in the shade. Hand dry your truck as soon as you are done washing. Don’t use drive-through car washes either.

As far as how to remove water spots....use a good rubbing compound. Don’t allow the water spots to sit on your paint and glass for too long...they can become permanent.

    Just used it last night....

You could also try a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and Distilled Water.

Got this after a good recommendation from @SouthBoundSteve . Have had it for going on 2 years now and it works great! It is the DIC-20 model.

Deionized water has nearly all ions removed, including minerals like iron, sodium, sulfate, and copper. Since these ions make up most non-particulate water contaminants, you'll get high purity water that won't leave spots on your vehicle.

Yep. I’ve got 5 vehicles. Between this and a leaf blower I haven’t taken a towel to a car in who knows how long

Same here. Five, plus friends and relatives’ cars I’m always doing. My water is hard as hell, so it’s a real issue for me. It would definitely keep my wheels looking good since I generally don’t take the time to do them properly.
I’ve tried leaf blowers, but just haven’t gotten great results that way.

When they tell you that you can rinse your truck/car off and walk away for it to air dry, they mean it. Water spots for me are a thing of the past, and they used to be very bad here.

Half my cars are ceramic coated, so it makes things even easier. I really only use a leaf blower for jams, spots that run, wheels, etc. Hell, my '55 i just hose off half the time, don't even take soap to it or wash it. Just hose, walk away :D
