thanks for the reply. just found out about the recall. have appointment monday morning with the dealer. hope all goes well. have a copy of the recall because they have not told me about this. there seems to be a lot of this going on. the loss of power was a shock to say the least. could have got my self in a bad place not knowing it would not go. thanks again for the info, let you know how it plays out.

    Sadly....none
I'm in the same boat. This Monday (4 May) will be one month that my truck has been in the shop waiting for parts. Hopefully you won't have to wait as long.

my truck has been in the shop going on the third week, with no parts to make the repair, and don't know when they will be available.they gave me a loaner at no charge. that helps a lot.hopefully they will replace both pumps so in the future I won't have to pay out of pocket. this must be a pretty common problem because they can't get parts. good luck with yours.

my truck has been at the dealer for 12 weeks with no date as to when the parts for the air pumps will be available. I have been told its a nation wide problem.wondering if any one else has had this problem on their 07 tundra with 5.7 motor.

18"X9" FN BFD's rims, 295/70R/18E Cooper Discoverer STT Pro's, upgraded to Old Man EMU coil-overs/shocks. Toytec shackles Next: true dual exhaust, new UCA's.
12 weeks. Totally uncalled for. Needless to say, Toyota had better make sure that more than enough AIP's are built to cover potential claims. If I had to wait 12 weeks to get my truck fixed, no matter if "free", I'd be looking for another brand ASAP. 4 to 5 weeks tops. Toyota dropped the ball from the beginning with a piss poor design and a piss poor location of the AIP's. Supplier issues aside, this is a BLACK MARK for Toyota as far as I am concerned. This is not rocket science, just a stupid air pump and bad business practices. I like having my truck, so if this AIP issue should ever come up and there still is a supply issue, I will dismantle and clean up the AIPs myself like others were doing before the warranty was extended. 4 to 6 hour DIY fix.
