OK y’all so here’s my first question on here. A few months ago I had a Viper alarm system installed on the truck and when I go to unlock it it unlocks all four doors at once. Is there way to get it to unlock only the driver side door with the first click and then all doors with the second click? The installer said he thought it might be a bug with the 16’ bc we were unable to get it to work.
    -Thanks

I had mine done at a shop and they only had it set to driver's side door only, then I installed a light bar so I unplugged neg batt, when I put back on alarm was acting funny, I was out of town looked up a viper dealer guy told me whoever installed did wrong, they corrected by few wire switching overs and now all doors unlocked, guy told me where I did they did wrong????

So yours unlocks all doors on first click? Maybe I’m unable to get it to unlock drivers side door with one click and all with two clicks. I thought that was how it was suppose to work but I guess maybe it’s meant to open all on one click.

Now it does, all doors unlocked, when I was out of town I went to Viper.com n did location search and I found by zip code and locations pop look for one that says Preferred Dealer, I went to that shop told guy what I did n what was happening some wires were not cut out right n he showed me on his computer a website I forgot what it was called specifically for alarm installers what wires were missed, now all doors unlock

Definately go to a diff installer. I have had a Viper for the past 7yrs and currently have one. It unlocks just the driver door on first push. All doors on the second push.

I spoke to a few here today and they said it’s common with the 16s to only unlock all four unfortunately. What year is yours?

The installer most likely did an analog install and hardwired the door lock wire from the viper to the vehicle, He will have to do a digital install and get the doorlock data from the vehicle. So yes this can be fixed.
