    Some of those BMX bikes from back then are selling for $2000 to almost $5000. That's nuts!!
    I also had a nickle plated Mongoose. If I could find one today I would get it just to have it.

    Remember the Bear Trap peddles? They were great as long as your feet didnt slide off of the peddles.

    I had one too! If I remember the claws came out of the tires... didnt get to play with mine too much batteries were SOO expensive back then.

    YES!!! That's exactly the one I had! Mine the seat busted off so I was rolling dangerous on power slides. I remember trying a rope to my brothers BMX and hanging on with my feet up while he ride down the sidewalk, it got so gnarly when we started hitting driveway ramps:rofl:

    Bro! My shins have never been the same since! When I restored the VFR I looked for those but didnt find any for cheap.

    I remember having a deep groove in my right shoe from using it on a bmx with no brakes. It was an older GT performer I borrowed from a cousin (was probably stolen). It had those bear claw pedals but no brakes, so I would lift a foot and stick it on the back tire to stop. We hot up some jumps in a field, one was basically a couch flipped over with some dirt on it. I went off and when I landed my shin got grated on that pedal.
