Flex fuel tune is in progress, I should have the finished product in approximately a month or so, don't want to release something that hasn't been perfected and tested for a while :)

Hi, sorry, the website is currently under construction.
Yes, I will have no problem providing you with a tune for your truck.
You will not be able to use the RedRock CAI because it is meant for an NA truck and has a smaller tube diameter than the TRD S/C intake.
You can direct message me for a quote and to order the tune.
    Thanks!

    Viktor

Unfortunately, that is the RTD interface, not the MPVI2 :(

Ok, I had no idea. I guess I'll have to order that, but will wait until your tune is ready. Glad I posted the picture then.

An update on the NA tune that I am working on including the improvement in 0-60 mph times and 1/8 mile ET and trap speed.
This is just the first iteration of the tune, will be hitting the dyno in a week and start polishing it out.

Excellent. I will have access to a dyno and you can remote in and tune in real time if necessary.

Following and also interested in your FFV-SC tune when it becomes available. The OV version I have been running for over two years still occasionally shifts wonky and I have to add Boostane during the summer to eliminate some minor pinging under load.

What we found out is that, unlike the supercharged trucks, there is not a whole lot of power to be gained on a stock NA Tundra while using 87 octane gasoline.
It runs pretty aggressive timing already and the AFR is in a pretty good range.
You can still do a lot with the tune however to give it more performance and faster acceleration by other means such as transmission and torque limit/torque management tuning, shift points etc.
Haven't had much time lately, but I will be working on my NA truck tune again soon.

    Hi all,
I have been swamped with requests for remote tuning since July and have been working with a number of customers non stop since then.
I have come to realize that, more often than not, remote tuning involves a lot more than just writing a custom tune and perfecting it over a few iterations of back and forth data logs and re-tunes.
While, with a couple of mechanically inclined and experienced customers it did end up being fairly straight forward, in majority of cases, I end up having to take the customer through the whole process step by step, from MPVI2 and credit purchase, VCM suite installation, to how to data log, to how to load the config files, to detailed and lengthy explanations of AFR, timing, torque management, VVTi etc etc.
Lots of times, I have to go over the whole setup of the people's truck, especially the flex fuel ones, because there are so many different installers doing the work and causing a crazy amount of issues with the actual mechanical part of things that have nothing to do with the tune. People install wrong size air intakes, wrong injectors, wrong fuel pumps, wrong fuel system wiring setups etc and then expect the tune to fix their trucks without even telling me that they have been battling lean issues or misfires or what-have-you for the last so many months.
In one particular case, I have exchanged 29 emails and 161 Facebook messages with a customer and we are still not finished with his "tune" (Well, he actually had a failing fuel pump and had tried to 'fix' it by replacing injectors, working with another well known tuner prior to reaching out to me, and then not using a battery charger while flashing a tune, which of course is the easiest way to brick one's ECU).
In another case, I am up to 69 emails and we are finally getting close to finishing up and the actual "tuning" part was only a tiny portion of those.
The money I have been charging for tuning simply does not come even close to covering the exorbitant amount of hours it can take to walk a customer through every nuance of their vehicle and tune step by step.
Due to those reasons and upon much discussion with my wife, we have decided that it would be wiser for me to focus on my 3 young kids and my full time job rather than spending every weekend building custom tunes for customers.
I will complete all the current commitments that I have and finish the tunes for everyone that paid me up to this point, but I will be suspending my remote tuning for now until further notice.
Thank you for all your support!

    Viktor

Thanks for the heads up Viktor. If you decide to start up again at some point or decide to do the flex fuel supercharged tune please let me know. I can surely understand your position and all the obstacles that come up with trying to do something like that. I work 2 jobs so I too know about spending all my time elsewhere and it's not easy. Be glad that you are able to focus more time with your family as I wish I could.

I just had someone reach out to me asking if I will still be doing in-person tunes.
    The answer is yes.

@ViktorG Thanks for your great services with tuning our Tundras!

I totally understand your decision to suspend your remote tuning services. But, for those of us who just need your tuning files without any other support from you, would you be willing to just sell us your various tunes?

    thanks.

That sucks to hear Victor, sounds like it really evolved into a second full time job. You could always charge an hourly/email/messages additional rate, though I suspect some people will pay out the ass regardless and expect you to fix issues that have nothing to do with the tune anyways (ie charging more can only weed out so many people). I work as a contractor so maybe it's just my mentality, but I always feel weird reaching out to someone (take the tune for instance) and requiring more time without paying more.

All the tunes I provide are customized to the customer's specifications, locked to their vehicle VIN and their HPTuners dongle and cannot be read. Unfortunately, I am unable to sell the internal tune data itself.

“A day late and a dollar short”!!:). Got rid of the 4x4 flex fuel because of fuel prices and we just didn’t use it that much, Back in a 2 wheel drive so coming in the near future we are hoping to have some fun with the engine compartment????:)

Viktor, I sent you a PM about the canned tune that came with my TRD SC not working. Can you please assist? Thanks.

Hi, I am not sure how I can assist with that. TRD S/C kits don't come with aftermarket canned tunes, they are tuned with the Toyota TRD S/C calibration reflash done by the dealership.
If it is a Magnuson S/C it is probably supplied with an HPtuners RTD device I would guess (some used Bullydog back in the day).
What is the issue you are having?
