I enjoy Team Fortress 2 from time to time.

 

That would be awesome! However, I haven't jumped back into the game since my armor got sun-setted a year ago. I have no other armor or a significant build and would have to get caught back up to be helpful with a raid.

I really miss my Hunter armor set. I could launch almost unlimited tethers for support.

 

Used to be our go to before it got filled with bots and cheaters.

 

You could just do regular content and get up to the correct level in no time. Even if you're a little under, it wouldn't be too big of a deal.

 

My concern really isn't light level, it's more around class-based support. For one, I could tank as a Hunter with the armor I had that got sun-setted.

So while I would be able to level up quickly, how much support I could provide is a different story. But maybe that doesn't matter? I wouldn't know as my raid experience was all on Destiny 1, and those days there were class-specific tasks that helped with raids.

 

I love when guys talk shit. I was playing The Division 2 a couple of years ago with some random guys who thought they were a lot better than they are. They were running their mouths the whole way. Very difficult and long mission, we’re about 90% through and they both go down. I was in a spot where I couldn’t be hit so I told them I was coming to revive them, then went and made a couple of Hot Pockets for lunch.
Hot Pockets we’re too hot so I had to wait for them to cool down.
Every now and them I’d jump on the mic and tell them I was almost to them, then go back to eating. It was a total bitch to have to start back from the beginning so neither of them dropped out.
After about 15-20 minutes I finally got over to them. Said something smartass, and logged out.

 

When did you stop playing? They did a pretty good job of cleaning that up at some point.

I have been playing since the original Team Fortress came out in the late 90s. I still play the old version every once in a while.

 

It's been a few months. Maybe we should give it another shot.

Actually, the other complaint was they always split us up so one person in our party ends up on the other team.

 

All good. As long as you're close to light level and follow the two rules of Destiny, you'll be fine.

Rule 1: Don't die
Rule 2: Kill shit

That makes me wonder about D2 raids where classes are concerned. Like in D1, I remember I could do the first part of Crota solo up to the first chest as a Hunter, but I could never pull that off with the other classes.

 

There are certain encounters that are easier on one class or another, but the whole thing can be done on any class. That pretty much goes for all raids.

The master versions of raids are a little different. Most of the time you have to run a specific class.

Anyone played A Plague Tale? There's a sequel coming! If you haven't heard about it. Setting is in France when there's plague(duh) and rats. Many rats. It's got some supernatural elements to it, graphics and sound were fantastic in the first one. Cut scenes rivaled triple A titles even though it was made by fairly small and not very known asobo studios.

No tundras in this one..

Why do it in a video game when you can just... go do it in real life?

 

Wife and son have been out of town since last Saturday, so I thought about starting a great game.

Instead I got wrapped in Metal Gear Survive. LOL

Honestly, it's a pretty good game - *IF* you take it on its own merits. The issue I had is, well gee, I dunno...comparing it to EVERY OTHER Metal Gear game and assuming it'd be at least something related. Wrong.

With that said...once I said "Meh, take your time and learn how to do well" I found out I quite enjoyed it. It's not at all anywhere near as 'good' as MGS5P, mainly because it doesn't have the plot/subplot MGS5P had, but it's pretty good.
