I had an odd occasional display glitch, but it was obviously software-based, as it no longer occurs.

Speaking of hard drives...I'm glad to report adding an SSD is super easy. Hardest part is finding a heat sink a) available and b) to match. I've now got an extra 1Tb.

Sabrent is making a heat sink that doubles as the little hatch over the SSD compartment; I've got that on order. :)

I've yet to need to add the hard drive. Not that many games worth playing honestly. But I'm sure I will eventually and maybe the prices on them will come down a bit.

Honestly, same here; but a) why not (lol) and b) at least I can scootch my PS4 games over to the SSD from the external drive now. Some of them exhibited some occasional slowdown even with a faster external drive.

Ha, I've not even used an external drive on it yet. I bought a 5TB, but was so terrified after the first one crashed on me, I've been very careful doing anything besides PS5 games on it. And any PS4 I have, I did a fresh install. I even added external fans for it to make sure it doesn't get hot, ha.

The Series X on the other hand is like a tank, ha. Although it mostly just collects dust right now.

My wife always complains about the controls in one of the Zelda games but that might be Majora's Mask.

Man, missed a lot so just getting caught up...

So far RE2 Remake has been my favorite, but I'm still on a 2nd "B" playthrough with Leon (started with Claire). Apparently some of the content is different, but I don't recall much of it really as I had only played it once way back when. But from a graphics and gameplay perspective, it's well worth it, at least on PC.

I never knew that! Strategy used to be my nemesis. I lost a girlfriend over C&C way back when lol. Long 3-day weekend gaming sessions with my buddies during the lan party days. And I also play a lot of RPG. Had I known this sooner I'd have gotten a Switch, but that's also a reason why I still play on PC. I might consider getting a Switch now, but as it stands I have a huge backlog of games on Steam that it'd probably be pointless for me to add another console. Maybe when my son is bored with his I'll steal it from him.

I grabbed a gaming laptop for this very reason. I can access my entire Steam library, and the cloud save system has been nearly flawless. I also grabbed a 2nd ultra-wide monitor that I setup on the coffee table. She doesn't care as long as I'm sitting out there with her. And I admit, I kind'a like hanging out with her too lol. I got this mobile gaming thing down.

Yep, they've got plenty. Just off the top of my head:

    - Zelda - BotW and Skyward Sword
    - Fire Emblem
    - Shin Megami Tensai
    - Xenoblade Chronicles (I and II, and Torna: The Golden Country)
    - Ni No Kuni I and II
    - Monster Hunter 2: Wings of Ruin
    - Bravely Default II
    - Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age
    - Octopath Traveler
    - The Witcher 3 (yep)
    - Final Fantasy (VII, VIII, IX, X, XII, Crystal Chronicles)
    - Tales of Vesperia

These are just the ones I can think of that I own - there are TONS more.

Do any of you guys have an Oculus Quest 2 VR system? I bought my son one for Christmas and I wanted to see what you guys use for cases. Where do you get the games from? Thanks.

I no longer have my Quest 2, but I didn't use a case when I had it. I kept it on my office shelf in a covered storage basket. I store my Rift S in there now.

Well, bought the new Switch OLED, get it on Thursday. Also picked up Metroid, awesome game so far, ha. But damn it's not easy, I've died so much already. Those EMMI robots are legit and hunt your ass down.

Just ordered 2 new controllers for our PS4. Both of our current ones are drifting. Wanna piss me off while playing Battlefield? Have my crosshairs drift while engaged in CQB.

Just finished Saints Row 4. Was a lot of fun even though they reused the same level as the previous version. They added Crackdown-like powers, so it was a lot of fun. Didn’t level out on all the side-jobs. A few were annoying AF.

Checked out Resident Evil based on all the fans here. That looks pretty epic. Don’t do zombie stuff and rarely play FPS games anymore so gonna pass.

In need of something new now. Think the MS Flight Simulator is going to be bought soon…but that’s more for work than play.

I've been using the astro C4 for my ps4 games and have no complaints. It's an awesome controller and has swappable components.

There was so much running required in COD Black Ops (the original) that I wore out the button in the left joystick of my PS3 controller.

Dangit, I forgot all about Metroid. My son took his Switch to college with him. Now I'm gonna have to wait when he's back from break... or buy myself a Switch lol. I'm seriously considering the latter. Metroid was one of my favorites growing up.

I've got it d/l'd, but am working my way through the 'Crimson Flower' branch of Fire Emblem: Three Houses. I may have to give it a spin tonight.

I'd forgotten Far Cry 6 was releasing. I tried to hold off since I'm still on a Resident Evil series run and because it isn't on Steam, but that only lasted 4 days before I cracked. I don't play a lot of shooters anymore, but I love open world games and this series in general.

I'm trying to hold off until I finish the rest leading up to it. 90% through 4 and haven't touched 5 yet. Gotta catch up. I'll probably finish death stranding this weekend and jump back in. I like that the bad guy is the guy from breaking bad.

I'm close to finishing up my 2nd run in RE2 with Leon, should wrap up tonight. And I have all day off tomorrow. Gonna see first matinee of the new Bond, then make it a FC6 day!

I loved 4! I couldn't put that one down. I think I have 2 play-throughs on PS4, and 3 on PC. Some funny surprises too, like when you first encounter the honey badger lol.

I'll get to Death Stranding eventually when it goes on sale. I thought about grabbing it after you mentioned it last time, but I it's still full price on Steam. Just don't want to pay that much for an almost 2-year old game.

Those are some great games. I played Destiny pretty hardcore on Xbox for about 5 years. The internet at our house has got me back into single player games though. Mostly on PS now. Death Stranding, The Last of Us Part 2, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, God of War, Ghost of Tsushima, and Gran Turismo Sport.

If you haven’t played Death Stranding yet try to pick up the Director’s Cut. Overall, the game is awesome though. Very different. Kojima makes great games. Anyone that has played Metal Gear can attest to that.

I'm on death stranding right now. Without giving to much away, I'm heading back east (mandatory) please tell me I'm near the end. I feel like the info I've been given there's a whole lot more after this and I'm ready to move on to the next game.
