Is it as good as the rest?

 

I game, but almost never buy new. I usually wait until a game is a year+ and get it on the cheap. There are exceptions though

Xbox one: Red Dead 2 still trying to 100
Star Wars Fallen Order, Assassin’s Creed origins and Oddesey

have never been good with shooters, I think I’m susceptible to motion sickness, as the running and motion in those games causes headaches.

 

I grew up with a SNES and still have it - Donkey Kong country, Super Mario world, Lion King, Zelda: a link to the past, Faceball 2000, Star Trek, Super ghouls n ghosts(this game is so frickin hard).

PC - Ark survival

Xbox1x - Fallout 4, Far cry primal, Witcher 3, Skyrim, Darksiders, Dante's inferno, Dying light

I got a switch for christmas and so far I just have Zelda: breath of the wild but I'm LOVING it.

We have a PS4 as well but I don't use it, it mostly just collects dust..

 

PC; mostly just been playing DAYZ

Nintendo switch; a couple of games so ill prob just attach a pic later, but pokemon, zelda botw and links awakening to name a few.

3DS xl & new 3ds; quite a few games but they're just sitting along with the handhelds

PsVita; collecting dust along with like 4 games, this thing failed miserably because of the proprietary and expensive memory cards

Also have a fat ps2, original psp, gameboy color and gameboy advance sp, but none of them get used anymore

I'm not particularly good at games and I have a lot I haven't finished but I still enjoy them from time to time. I have a PS4 but I prefer PC:

Unreal Tournament (original, though I've been playing 3 lately)
TF2 (haven't played since I got kicked out of my clan)
Portal
COD
Doom (original)
GTA
Saints Row (less serious version of GTA with better characters/ dialogue and driving dynamics)

 

Halo stack wins the day and Master Chief next to Predator......priceless. All time favorite movie character next to all time favorite gaming character

 

Back before it morphed into the monstrosity it is now. Nothing but 10 year old game Gods building the roman empire around me before I can step 10 feet

 

I play mostly single player games but will get online every once in a while.

I've been playing and building performance PC's since I was very young. I still remember the first time I played Team Fortress when it was a quake mod, I was blown away. It really was a pivotal moment in my life. These days I'm a casual player and hop onto CSGO a few times a week and lately have been really enjoying DayZ. I recently built my 14 year old son his first gaming pc for his birthday. He had been saving money since his last birthday and with some spare parts and a little help on my part we pieced together a pretty nice machine. Growing up, gaming used to have a stigma attached to it but it seems times have changed a lot. My son's a straight A gate student, a wrestler and he just happens to enjoy the hell out of gaming. I don't have any issues with it and I'm stoked share the hobby with him.

 

Man I started gaming on intellivision playing pitfall!! you young guys look that one up!!!. been building gaming pc's for like 20 years now, I pretty much only play in the winter months: not much else to do.

But since we've pretty much stuck at home since last week I've been playing the new battle royale from call of duty modern warfare: WARZONE

I'd have to say it's pretty good and it's free download, it's also cross platform so pc's , xbox and playstation all play together.

Agreed. The ONLY complaint I have is the sound. The distancing is completely off and footstep recognition is terrible. Other than that I have played non stop

 

I'm up for some excitebike.

Forza Horizon 4

 

Played a fair bit of For Honor the last few days. Learned a new character (kind of) and got to virtually hang out with a buddy.

So.... couple years ago I picked up the Witcher 3 and played up through the Griffon kill (barely played) then SHTF at work off and on and I played other games, went back to it, and had to restart so many times that I lost interest and gave the game away.
Well, I watched the Witcher on Netflix, and now I wanna "live" in that world more. So, had to buy the damn game again.

 

The Killzone Helghast is the one on there that gets me. Man they let that awesome series go to shit

 

I started playing Minecraft with my kids during this quarantine / lockdown weekend.
Its actually fun. My 3 step kids and my two boys and me have all been playing off and on for three days now. Its been a great way to pass the time.
My kids get mad at me because i dont know anything about it , and i build everything out of dirt. I literally built a 4 story Medieval castle complete with ramparts and watch tower out of dirt. The kids called me " Dirt Lord" .

In Auburn, Ca they just opened a classic arcade called Out of Order. All the old Galaga, Street fighter, Xenon, etc. and they have several beers on tap. I hope they survive the shutdown. I only got to go there once and it was an absolute day of reckoning for my two boys because I cleaned their clocks the whole night and laughed my ass off about it. Finally some redemption for only being able to hang with them while they destroy me in Fortnite or CoD, literally in the first 30 seconds of every damn game.

Gaming has been hot or cold for me. I would usually play for a few months and get bored. Still kinda that way for me. But it's a great stress reliever and fun when I can't sleep.

- Started with Atari 2600 Asteroids, Pitfall. Then discovered bicycles and dropped it. Dabbled with friends Colecovision a bit.
- My best friends Nintendo in H.S. till 5 a.m. , after all-night cruising main street with the boys, racing, and NOT EVER hooking up with any of the girls we saw. Anyone remember cruising?
- College was my roommates Sega Genesis and Madden tournaments. Was late to class several times for that one.
- Then somewhere the PC hit and i discovered DOOM, QUAKE and DUKE NUKEM. That had me entertained for a while.

-Bought a PS2 somewhere in 2001-ish but stuck with PC. My buddy got me hooked on some FPS online game like CoD, but can't remember the name. That was bad. That was my serious first time where I was pretty close to obsession. I was single and would come home from work and literally battle for 12+hours while drinking a 6 pack of Sierra Nevada on my days off. I would close my eyes and try to sleep and would see the game and flash bangs. It was terrible , LOL. I just dropped it after a while...girls have a way of doing that.

Here we are in 2020 and my boys have a PS4, and I have an xbox 360 that we used to play Lego games on when they were younger. Just last night they were trying to talk me into upgrading the old console to play CoD and NBA2k online with them. We'll see. I've played a few rounds on their PS4 and it's a shit-show. I may have to check out a driving game or golf or something. LOL.

It stills fun to me from time to time and a great way to kill a rainy afternoon. I did see a great deal on an XBOX one X on FB Marketplace this a.m.

 

Anyone ever play descent growing up? The last ten minutes of computer class were mayhem when the teacher let us login. And whoever blew the reactor was a dead man.
