100% agree, rarely is there a new game that interest me except for GOT and sadly TLOU2. I almost put it down when we switched characters but I gave it a chance and it still let me down. Another one I suggest is God of War for ps4. I loved that game.

 

That's what I've been reading. Just about everything I want to play is getting a PC release anyway, and after said PC upgrade I was able to run Cyberpunk at high settings and ray tracing at 1440p and on my super ultra wide display at 3840 x 1080 and still hit the 60 fps sweet spot. But I actually liked the game better without RT and played it almost maxed out at 85-90 fps.

I've completely lost interest in a PS5 lol.

I played through Ghosts and Last of Us 2 on PS4 and finished them both. I didn't care too much about some of the story in LoU2 and some of the mechanics/interactive play at the end, but I still enjoyed the game overall. Ghosts, on the other hand, loved every second of it. I played it enough that I'm like 3 trophies away from the Platinum without even trying to get it. Best IP I've played of late.

 

God of War was outstanding. I wish they’d put out some dlc for it. Ghosts was also incredible and I’m looking forward to the expansion.
LoU2….I just couldn’t bring myself to give a shit after the character switch. Completely lost interest. (I didn’t have a ton to begin with. This one didn’t need a sequel.)

I’m currently running through Days Gone again.

 

Damn I forgot about days gone! The music in that game is awesome and that ride north feels so damn strange every time. I might have to revisit this one, make a different bike this time

 

I'm still pretty ticked there are all those other worlds and they just perpetually say "You cannot access this area" or something.

 

Right! Perfect setup for some DLC'S. Atleast we get another one this year hopefully

 

My wife thinks I should buy her a Switch and Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 for her birthday.

 

Thanks for the reminder, I totally spaced on Day's Gone. It finally released on PC about a month ago, and I completely forgot to pick it up. Off to the Steam Store I go...

 

It’s a pretty good game. Not groundbreaking, but enjoyable. I’m playing on New Game + right now, so I’m just slaughtering everything.
I also like that the main character is played by the same guy from the Star Wars Force Unleashed games. I loved those.

 

Yeah, when I played it I assumed that’s where dlc would be. I don’t get why they didn’t do it. I’d have paid for more content in a heartbeat.

 

Switch is awesome, but Breath of the Wild 2 isn't out yet, and no release date as of yet.

Links awakening is awesome, and just got Skyward Sword.

 

The Woman was talking about a Switch and Zelda too. She's a big Zelda fan. Maybe I'll surprise her with it. I'm purely a FPS guy and almost exclusively play Battlefield 4 and V on our PS4.

 

My friend set up a server and we've mostly been playing BF2 and various mods for it lately.

 

Anyone play Wreckfest on PC? The destruction is just so satisfying. Online is okay, but playing modded is too fun!

 

Has anyone played Returnal yet? It is awesome! Hard but rewarding. I got the platinum for it. Took me about 90 hrs.

 

Back in my day it cost extra to save a game! Had to buy a cartridge to hold all your saved games and it wouldn't even hold all of them.

 

It's next on my list. It looked interesting, glad it was fun.

 

If memory cards are "back in your day" then I am older than you are.

Ha, I didn't say my back in the day was way back in the day. I started gaming on the Sega genesis so I'm definitely not familiar with the first consoles.

 

Just found out dead space is getting a reboot, those games were fun and creepy too. I remember modding my suit as much as I could because I never knew what was around the next corner.

 

Just when Atari revolutionized the gaming world and was able to play the demo machine in any Sears.

 

I remember thinking how groundbreaking the Genesis was. I have fond memories of Golden Axe and Afterburner.

I read that it was a remake, similar to how they did the Resident Evil remakes.

Those were excellent games. I remember playing 2 with the lights off in the mancave/home theater room. The speakers not being visible with the lights off and sound coming from everywhere made for some eerie fun. But it was the quiet areas where all you hear is feint and airy background noise that got me every time.

I hope it gets a PC release.

 

Hey did anyone get in on the beta of Amazon’s game entry “New World”? Set for official release this month. My son got in on the beta and was fairly impressed with their first entry.

 

I have the Luna collecting dust on my TV stand. Do you play it on that?

 

No, a PC open world type role play. Don’t know a lot about it but hear about it from my son

Has anyone played Alien Isolation? Just started it and it seems like it's going to be pretty scary.

Alien Isolation is pretty good. I really liked it but then stopped playing it for some reason. Think I got stuck somewhere and then probably started playing a different game, ha. But it’s solid.
