Just recently got into Black Desert Online for PC. I played Tera Online off and on for 8 years and wanted another MMO that had action style combat. I tried FFXIV but couldn't justify the monthly subscription fee since I didn't like the gameplay all that much.. So far I'm really enjoying BDO though, the graphics are beautiful and there's SO much to do. Not sure if I'll play Crimson Desert when it releases since it'll be more of a single player but we'll see.

 

Still a hard core Rocket League player with over 15k games. They do seasons so rankings get reset every season but have risen to high global levels

 

I also have a ton of games but find myself firing up RL 95% of the time. Mainly because I can put on some tunes and sit back with a controller instead of on the edge of my seat trying not to get sniped.

I should be a lot better than Diamond with the amount of time I've put into the game, but I play 1v1 most of the time.

 

Nothing wrong with diamond my friend. 2v2 is my game and almost made it to GC last season. At that level I’m at the mercy on the skill of the Teammate. Our win ratio is very close. I’m 60.1%. I can’t grind at Competitive mode because I get sloppy and then start making mistakes., I play a lot of casual and when in the grove switch to comp. .

 

Do you know if BDO is available for consoles? A buddy and I have been looking for an MMO, but pickings are slim if you don't run a PC.

 

Rocket League was a fun one. I was absolute trash, but if my team could score I was an ok blocker and ran interference against the enemy. Not a game for anyone who gets motion sick. lol

 

It is! I think there's also a Black Desert you can play on your phone but I'm not sure it's the same game. I actually think it'd be easier to play on console.. On the PC version each class has a butt load of skills and you only get one hotbar, so you just have to remember the combo keys to use the skills. Might be easier to play with a controller, I just haven't tried it.

PC? if you have a buddy try and catch Star Citizen on a free fly. its alpha with alot of bugs but its fun to mess around in.

 

This game is like crack, and now they've added mods to the game. I can't stop playing.

 

Man command and conquer. And red alert. Great games. Also spent many hours on counter strike. Would still play if I had a pc setup for gaming. Not enough time in the day to play those games anymore tho.

i got one off Craig’s nib with an elite 2 controller. Using it on an odyssey G7 at 1440p at 120 FPS (hdr disabled). Didn’t think I’d ever see a console look like pc ever. But I now have.

 

Awesome. Im almost tempted to just buy a series S to hold me off till the X is available

 

I've learned from previous early purchases that buying early does not bode well for buying quality. I'm going to wait 5-6 months until I can get a bundle at Costco. Maybe longer...I'm in no rush this time around. Although, I will be jamming Halo at some point. That's one FPS I still play.


With my vacation starting today, I went full gamer-mode last night. Took a 2-hour nap in the late afternoon and then kicked the kid off the Xbox at 8pm. Played until after 3am. Did the big mission on the final map of Snowrunner's first DLC world (recover the WWII airplane). Probably took 6-7 hours...brutal yet rewarding. I'd like to give the coders of that game a big bro-hug and then kick them squarely in the nuts. Just to cover all the emotions I experienced last night.

I gave up - Best Buy had some of the S Series available for about a week but I'm holding out for the X. I have the One X and, honestly, it's probably all I need right now. It's not stopping me from looking though. Like @Green Thunder said, it's probably best to just hold off until I can get one from Costco - right now you get an extra controller.

Been enjoying the hell out of the new Assassin's Creed. I have it on easy mode because I'm an angry button masher but the story is great.

 

I caved and bought an S from Best Buy. It’s awesome. Now I think most people are underestimating the S.

 

I have one. My daughter found a hoard of them at a Walmart in BFE. No need to get in a hurry, considering there are zero exclusive games for it. Your old Xbox will play everything the Series X will. I’ve never seen a console launch without any new games for it. PS5 only has a couple. Really weird.

 

It’s an enjoyable game, but buggy as hell. Also, I think I finished it, but I’m not sure. No big finale, no credits rolling, but no more missions either. I’m confused by it.

 

I guess after coming off of Cyberpunk which crashed about every 30 minutes, I'm not noticing too much. I think I've had it freeze up on me a couple of times but nothing big. I do need to get back to Destiny for a bit and finish out my season pass.

 

It was crashing about once an hour. They fixed that, but now every time you load a game your character is drunk. Maybe that’s not a bug though.

 

Your character is a Viking, right? Sounds intentional to me.

 

I read about that - apparently it's from partaking in their winter festival. I haven't messed with that and my character has been drunk free. I'm playing a mormon viking.

 

Wife surprised me with a PS5 back around Thanksgiving, totally caught me off guard. While I haven't played any games made for next-gen yet. The games I do play look, and play much better on it than on my Launch Day PS4.

Rainbow Six Siege is a great game, it's been out for years and still is consistent in quality. The only thing about it, vs Battlefield games is that it's very much close quarters centered. No big maps, with sniping in this game. I'm more of a COD guy, but definitely see the appeal of Battlefield over it.

 

Yeah, that kinda sucks for a minute or two.

 

How's all them next gen consoles holding up? I'm hoping no one has had any issues but age has taught me that patience is a virtue...and that my knees start to hurt if I sit too long.
