Has anyone bought the victory 4x4 strike bumper and had fitment issues with the sensor holes? The stock bumper is 13/16” x 15/16” and the strike bumper is just a round 13/16” hole. I’d hate to cut into it and jeopardize the powder coat flaking sooner than later. I even tried sanding them down but can’t go much further without breaking the outer casing of the sensors. Tia

Do not have one and have never pulled out a sensor. Question i have is does the 90 deg angled piece disconnect from the outer round sensor?
If so then the diameter of the round sensor might be correct.

True...I don't have that either but this looks like it should disconnect.

I just switched my sensors to a Fab Fours bumper and they were tight. The angled part does not disconnect from the round part. It has to go through the hole as one piece, then it connect back to the wire.

I think you are going to have to drill the hole. Is the issue on both sides? One of mine fit perfect, but the other side pulled the sensor in when i put the white plastic holder back on. Not sure why it didn't fit right, but its in the hole and works.

Ya it doesn’t I tried last night and ended up taking a belt sander to it to see if I could get it in that way w no luck.
Yep going to have to drill the hole is what it’s looking like. Ya both sides are 13/16” perfectly round while the sensor holes on the bumper are not. Iv got the white clips ready for when I can get them back in. Thanks for the reply gents!

Don’t go too big. The ovalish hole helps hold the sensors. Did you contact victory 4x4? You can’t be the only one with this issue. Now you have to drill on your new bumper.

Yep I contacted them and they are looking into it. To be honest I’m pretty upset about it. The last thing I want to do is drill holes in my new bumper and risk the finish. They advertise it fits the front sensors and his video shows it does perfectly but mine definitely do not match what they are advertising. Wouldn’t have gotten this bumper if I would have known the sensors wouldn’t work w it.

Take some pictures of it not fitting before you do anything. That way if it gets messed up you can prove it was still from a manufacturing defect. Or if there was any warranty or anything.

Yep definitely will get some after work. Will take what the stock looks like compared to the one they sent. Holes don’t match up whatsoever. Thanks for the input timsp8 I appreciate it

Did it come coated ? Take a file to it and open the hole up some, its not a big deal.
At the very least measure your stock hole and the new one and see whee you're at.

EDIT: yeh, thats not gonna work. You'll need to open the hole up to the same dims.

Yep came coated. If it wasn’t coated I’d be more open to it but I don’t want to have to re powder coat it if I don’t have to and I already paid for them to do it so ya that’s on them. Yep I’m going to test it out on a piece of wood to the dimensions it should be. 15/16 all the way around and see if it still fits. The stock bumper is not 15/16 all the way around so we will see.

Wow that would absolutely suck if that’s the case. Maybe I should try and see if different sensors would work better. My caps are definitely different than those thanks for letting me know you saw these

Screenshot_20200603-230234_Chrome.jpg I assume the sensors cannot come apart any other way? I have never had mine out....they look as if the round part might can clip off...which would make it fit possibly

Iv tried where the tabs are but they wouldn’t budge at all. Replacements are cheap so I still might try and tear one apart to see if I can get it to work that way

better yet this pic shows that the tabs just hold the outer part and not the sensor itself. Will give it a shot in the morning

Alright got the sensor ring off but it won’t fit in the hole without being drilled out. So the hole just straight up is too small even if I take the sensor apart

I would use the step bit as mentioned above and just paint around the edges with a small hobby brush...wouldn't think it would hurt the finish...anyhow I still would contact the company

Definitely! Corey from victory got on it quickly now I’m just waiting for a response. I hope they can fix the issue so not all the bumpers going out are like mine.

I've noticed several threads lately with people having fitment issues on Victory4x4 parts... engine skid plate, rear diff skid and now the front bumper.
I don't have any of their products, but they seem to be very involved, which is great. They really need to start working on testing and qc though...
