I had to uninstall my AV & all of the OVITune programs and install 1.1.0 to get the code. Thanks for hanging in there with me!

On the new Flash Manager. It says to first uninstall the old version....I have been using the P5 program which is nothing but an executable on my desktop. Should I continue to use that or move to this Flash Manager. The Tundra instructions still say to use P5... Anyone?

The new flash manager has the p5 built in. I went ahead and got rid of the old, just in case. We're you sent a tune?

@OVTune Good morning! I woke up excited this morning because I thought I would have a tune in my email but I dont have anything. I sent you my ECU info before Bruce did so I figured I would have something yesterday.

Can you tell me when I can expect to see my base tune??

    Order #5285

    Thanks Mat!!!

I have not tested the new tune towing yet, but gave it a test drive around the area yesterday. While I could not figure out the new flash manager as it only gave me tacoma options 2016-19. The old P5 flashed the new TCU tune without any issue and the new logger works well. AS for the new tune it seems on point for both tunes and I can definitly see and feel the difference in shift points between the normal tune and Towing tune. Gear lock works works with either tune as soon as you shift into S mode. Power seems improved overall but I have not gotten into boost and done any full throttle pulls as I am waiting for Matt to confirm that it is the right one for my SC application. The old tune files were named with FFVSC and the new TCU tune only has FFV in the name. Probably just being cautious as it runs great, however for piece of mind I'm not mashing the throttle until I hear back from them :)

Just ignore the part where it's asking you to select the year, etc. Go to the window that has the Flash It! tab and flash the files that you are sent as they're supposed to be for you and you only. That's my understanding....

For me it does as that is the way I requested the original tune 5 revisions ago when I discussed my tune build with Matt. Some of you guys may have set it up differently though using the second tune as more of a performance tune or even having two different octane tunes. However you requested and set up your original tune it should still be the same...this is just a final revision with all the new TCU stuff and tweaks.

I got it yesterday and tested it today. Big improvement on Tow/Haul and Tow/Haul + S shifting. No more hang ups. Truck is not loaded heavy at this time. No hiccups. I will load the truck heavy again in the next few days and test. I haven't cycle the transmission on the 4Hi. Thanks OV for wonderful product.

@OVTune let’s say it took 100 hrs of work to get me a base tune. Why don’t you do the work in order that they come... many orders after my #5221 are done already.

why would you open shop and ship new orders when paid for customers are hanging for months. it’s only going to build up more back log and tick people off...

I don't know if you're aware, or missed the posts made by Mat, but it seems that the Sequoia ECU files are particularly difficult to gather. I certainly feel your pain though...I've only noticed two of the "regulars" share that they received and were able to install/take for a test ride their tunes. Unfortunately, I don't have the answers that you seek and can offer little ease to your frustrations...:(

Oh yea. I’m only seeing Tacoma in drop down. Might be because I don’t have the reg key yet.

That's not for the Tundra (obviously). We're still kind of at the beta stage I suspect. The Tacomas are quite a bit further along in development and have a "public" release. All the 5.7L owners need to only use the files that they get via direct emails from Mat. :sorry:

My understanding is you dont actually use the flash manager to flash our Tundra ecu, but the manager installs the datalogger and downloads the p5flash utility that you actually use to flash the tunes on our trucks.

So, flashed the new revised tune this morning, and shifting is smooth like butter both s-mode and non-s mode. Initially, on the first drive just after flashing, shifting from 3-4 gear was a little rough, but not sure if that was ecu/tcu still getting acquainted with everything. Soon though everything smoothed out and merging onto the freeway, couldnt tell the truck was shifting (non-s mode), before I knew it truck was doing 70mph, rpms hovered under or at 2000.

So far best revised tune yet!

I saw that as well when I pulled out of the driveway and accelerated up to highway speed the first time after the install. It smoothed out and never another hickup the rest of the test drive.

I am aware of that and mat said 15th will get it due to that difficulty factor.
Before I even purchased a tune I emailed Matt and asked if it was OK being I had a Sequoia he said no problem go ahead and purchase. And here we are...

Hello guys. If you haven't received a file update from us just ping / respond to your ticket so that we can get you in que. I've sent out a ton of them so far, and hoping to hear more about everyones review of daily / driving in D.

Sequoia stuff is still a challenge. I may have to do a ECM service, or get some part numbers off your ECM to buy one myself to get the data
