Will the transmission update, faster shifting in s mode, apply to na trucks?

Mine a buddy found on Instagram and sent me, it was missing a few pieces but nothing I couldn't make in the garage. My buddy's was just the blower so needed the fit kit for like $1000 or whatever. He found it on ebay for like $800, then didn't want it so reposted it for $1000. So they pop up, I think I've seen some on facebook and this forum for like $2500. People are scared of used ones for some reason it seems like.

    Tastefully enhanced...
Pure research and curiosity: has anyone reduced their hand-calc'd miles per gallon since adding the OV Tune?!

I realize fun-ratio directly relates to the skinny pedal spacing from the floor, especially when boosted...but I feel in have driven very reasonably this last tank and I used to get roughly 320 miles per tank and now im sporting almost 250...nothing changed except the tune...not bad-mouthing OVT, just wondering if it's my happy foot or if it's my new addition... I'll certainly run at least three tanks through before being concerned... i'm on my first new fillip after the tune and all is well, except my MPG...

    What do you think?

Not that I have seen it is the same or maybe a bit better. I pay attention and adjust my speed as needed to calculate an additional 1-2mpg as I can. I must add here that 80-90% of the time my truck is used it is towing or hauling something. If the tune is on point the biggest thing you can do for mileage is not mashing the throttle on acceleration and slowing your cruise speed while towing. I have found the difference between 55-60-65-70mph cost around 1mpg each running heavy or fighting the wind. Takes longer to get there, but is less wear and tear on the rig and more $$$ in your pocket when laying down hundred's and/or thousands of miles.

Edit...Also the first base tune Matt will send you is Fat and safe, and will get better as you log and he dials your truck in with revisions.

@OVTune do you have a tune that’ll work for a 2018 Land Cruiser?

I strongly suspect that upon release, the Cruise Control control (haha) will be utilized for alternate octane maps and the T/H button will activate the T/H transmission shift logic (either factory or a possible OV variant).

No, this will only be for Silver Metallic RCSB 2nd Gens with bucket seats and drivers with a big nose and buck teeth. :p

Yes, but.... That could be a while. Hopefully the next round of individual improvements will be sent soon. This will likely dial the transmission portion of my tune in perfectly and any updates after that will be icing on the cake. So I'd like to be set up to where I'm not foaming at the mouth for an update. Lol

It would probably be fair to let the clan get set up in their new digs, fewer distractions for them.

Well, all I can say is the OV tune will be worth the wait. It's crazy how much more power my little ole na tundra has now. I love that I can actually hit the highway speed limits of 75mph and easily get 16 mpgs with my heavy 35 inch Toyos. Hang in there!
