Is there a time line to get the extra features in the 2018 tune (gear lock, etc.)? I have not read any updates with that in a while.

is your truck flex fuel stock? the enhancements we have made are for the flex fuel calibrations.
This truck will definitely make some nice power with E85 but MPG will be the worst you've ever seen.

    FFV and non FFV

2018 ECUs already have full map switch integration, and S mode gear lock I am working on

Okay, since @OVTune has the '19s figured out I want to try it, but don't want all the drama I've seen throughout this thread. I just want to download and forget about it. So for those of you that have this tune, what is the best route to take? What options are y'all running that have been proven without issues? Right now my truck runs great and shifts smooth. The only thing I want to ensure is that I'm running it safely and maybe improve the shift speed (if that makes sense). To clarify, when I drive my wife's 200 Land Cruiser, I love the way it goes through the gears. It's just a little more refined. Can this tune get me there without a lot of back and forth? Or should I just leave well enough alone?

The 2019 are supported! I believe you just triggered my supercharger purchase. (Googles how to sell kidney on the internet.) I'm waiting for my gearset to be installed, First so I don't whack the rev limiter after I do it. Then I will for sure mention its supercharged has 35's 5:29s.

Ha, ok well yes, it's a ffv. I think I'd only try it out, but wouldn't use it on a consistent basis.

    I agree with this. I Have a 2019 with Harrop 2650 SC.

Would love a good tune that can just be downloaded and forgotten about. Everything runs pretty good, but would definitely like smoother, more refined, shifting.

I am deciding between the 1900 and 2650 for my 2019 is your truck re-geared? Does the power feel linear or all up top of the RPM range with Stop and go non freeway driving? What are you using for a tune now?

So far I'm happy with stock gears running 295 60 20 tires (roughly 34" x 11.6"). I just upgraded to that tire size last week, so I have not thought about regearing, but need to look into the pros and cons of that.

Right now most of my driving is non Highway, and the power does feel mostly linear, slight increase around 2 - 3,000 RPMs.

I am running it without a tune (stock tune) and it is running great! AFR is within normal range and I am getting up to 7 PSI boost as intended.

I was originally looking at the 1900 and hadn't even heard of the Harrop 2650, but I couldn't get the Magnasun yet bc no one had cracked the tune. Harrop tested and confirmed that the ECU is resilient enough to compensate for the extra air flow when running the 2650 without tuning so I gave it a try and am happy I did.

Even with tuning available, I still think I would go with the 2650.

    @OVTune
Are the FFV E85 tunes 4D/axis going to be available for the SC trucks too? :eek2:o_O

I know we would need upgraded pump, injectors, and possibly fuel lines... but that would be sweet!

5:29 on 34.8" tires. 90 percent of my driving is off freeway and above 6000 feet on hills. Its around 10% lower gearing than factory at 65mph i believe. I have not gotten them installed yet, the installers here are all a month or so out at least. But id guess its around 700 to 1000 rpm higher on the freeway. I had the 4:88 gear set on my 2016 Tacoma with 33" tires and the OV tune. It was a huge difference and felt more sporty and got better gas millage with the tune and gears than without them

Guys, if I can't find 93 octane, can I use an octane booster from the auto parts store?

Where in TX can you not find 93? Are you in the higher elevation areas of west TX or the panhandle? In those areas, unless you're boosted, 91 octane should not be any more prone to detonation than 93 the rest of the state. Higher elevations have less dense air, requiring lower octane fuels.

Is anyone running a larger throttle body? I have the Magnuson SC and the URD pulley and I'm getting about 7-8 psi boost. Looking at the throat of the SC compared to the TB.... actually the whole intake tract seems overly restrictive even with the Magnuson air box and K&N filter.

@ViktorG was running an 84mm throttle body from an RC-F. He may've had to make his own adapter to do this.

    Tastefully enhanced...
So running the URD smaller drive pulley on stock everything else (TRD/Magnsun SC) is fine when the tune is augmented accordingly? I assumed that was a no-no...? Assuming fuel, etc. is correctly applied...?

You could buy some race gas concentrate. Some people buy it and just keep it in their vehicle for the same situation

What I'm meaning to say is that 91 octane is plenty sufficient with a 93 octane tune at higher elevations. It won't give you any trouble unless you're boosted. You'll be wasting your money on BOOSTane. It's the reason you don't find 93 in CO or much of NM, etc.

In the very basic way of it, as long as the air/fuel is there, and the tune has the resolution to cover all mixture/timing scenarios, generally speaking, yes.

He just needs some stickers and duct tape.:)

Oh ok. Do you have an idea of what altitude it becomes safe to do that?
